sword blunt axe or one-handed two-handed?

I am just curious. Which way seemed more logical to you. The Morrowind & Oblivion way which had sword, blunt & axe as skill trees or the Skyrim way which had one-handed & two-handed as skill trees.

Personally, i imagine the fighting technique and style of a one-handed swordsman would be closer to that of a two-handed swordsman than that of a one-handed axeman (i hope that makes sense).

I'd prefer to choose sword, blunt or axe as a skill then have one or two handed as a perk.

I don't have strong opinions either way. But if I had to pick one I guess I would pick One-Handed and Two-Handed.

Sword, Blunt, Axe. more realistic (to an extent)

using a mace or Flail requires a vastly different Combat style than proper Swordsmanship (at least, IRL)..

granted, if you spent your life training with a one-handed Longsword or Short Sword, it does not mean you would be equally good with a Claymore or other two-handed variety sword. but some of the common swordsmanship techniques would be transferable..

I think individual skills for each weapon allows for more roleplaying. It makes your character feel like it actually has a specific Class and style.

The idea that "any weapon at any time" allows more freedom feels too generic, as it tends to just make every character feel the same.
