Where is The Assignment DLC for Xbox?

Post » Thu Mar 12, 2015 6:14 am

7:14 a.m.

The Assignment is in the marketplace on Xbox live....right next to the season pass dlc that has my checkmark by it showing I bought it.

Any reason I am not playing it right now???

I have spoken with people is Australia, where it is 7:14 p.m. and they don't have it yet either.

When Microsoft opens, if it isn't live, I am getting a refund.

Hey man,

I know you have this vendetta (pun intended) against Bethesda as I've noticed on most of your topics... But I would redirect this to Microsoft as it is them that updates the marketplace. Me as a PS4 user usually need to wait until late afternoon on Tuesdays for dlc to become avaiable. Not all the time but usually.

Wow. If that is how I come off it is not intended.....I have evry game this company has released...this is the only one I am having trouble with :shakehead:

If I am coming off like a Bethesda hater I am really sorry.

I'm just a bit frustrated watching my playstation and steam friends posting screenshots and live twitch feeds of content that I should also have but do not....and yes, it is due to Micro$oft, though they tried to blame it on the company here...typical.

I'm sure that anyone in my shoes may be a bit uncomfortable in this position.

But please, let me clarify that this company has put out some of the best software I have ever played, not to mention my alltime favorite game, Skyrim.

I wish there was a way for me to change my topic title to "Where is the Xbox DLC" because it does look like I'm attacking all platforms

Lol no worries man. Thanks for the clarification. But yeah I suppose I can understand the frustration especially with the different time zones some people get what seems to be soo much sooner than the rest of which is kind of drag. But what can ya do.. But luckily I work til 5 today so maybe the dlc will be available by the time I get home. Hope you get to play it soon too. I'm hearing good things about it which is great. One thing I'll give Bethesda tho I may not always love their core developed games but I understand why people love them. I gotta give them credit though their third party games have been great and they don't skimp out on the extra content ie. wolfenstein, evil within. My sister is huge Bethesda fan, loves the elder scrolls series as well as fallout so I usually watch her play. I must say they DO deliver on the dlc content where a lot of other companies it always comes off as a rehashed cash grab. Sure Bethesda is doing it the same reason every other company does it.. to make money but we certainly get the bang for our buck. Which I think will always make Bethesda a very respected company. If they keep delivering third party material like this.. I'll be there :)

Thank you very much.

What a disaster all this turned out to be for Xbox users.

Of all days for the core services for Xbox live to go down it happens today.

Not long after my original topic posting I started to notice little issues with my console, naturally I checked the status of Live services and there was only one issue.

Now the entire network is down, half if not more apps are offline, and you can't get any info from MS because of high call traffic...go figure.

I'm really starting to enjoy my Steam acct more than my Live acct.

I'm actually thinking hard about just selling the console version to a local merchant for a percentage of the cost to get it on Steam.

I'm not surprised about the high traffic, there were some other triple A game DLC out today. You said it of all days. Talk about timing. From my understanding PSN still has yet to update the store. Hoping it'll be there by the time get home.

Correct.

My nephew just got off the phone with a Sony rep about 30 minutes ago, it seems that the store will be fully updated by 5 p.m. my time..Eastern Standard Time, U.S.Murica.

Turns out both consoles got shafted, at their own fault, not Bethesda in any way.

Awesome! Thanks. Yeah I'm EST as well so at least it'll by the time I get home. With Microsoft it's a bit of surprise how late they are getting it. Sony I'm used to the 5 pm updates :P

Just to check, are you specifically asking for Xbox 360? We're https://twitter.com/Bethblog/status/575389372759080960 to resolve a Season Pass issue.

Yes, but there is really nothing you guys/gals can do about it, and it isn't just Xbox, it's also the PSN. PS blames the store update for the delay, but Microsoft goes deeper.

The entire online Live service has been down for hours with no sign of any changes.

It started with a small app downed at around 8 a.m. and by 1:30 p.m. the whole core is out of service.

It isn't even possible to log into an Xbox live account from your console at this moment.

Microsoft really threw us out to the trash this time, not to sound like it's just me....but I do have to add that, yea...I really got screwed.

When I contacted MS support this morning the rep I spoke with told me that it was on your end and there was no definate promise of us getting the content. Naturally I told them just to refund my money and they did....now that I see what is really going on I am never going to get the dlc I have been waiting for because since I got the refund, if I try to buy it back it will only offer the option to download again....I own the license to that purchase. The problem with that is that playing it will violate the MS terms of service and they will ban my acct.

I can't tell you how upset I am that I will not get to play the dlc on my console ever, it is such a good game that it took me from a game I played every day for over 2 years (not WoW...lol). My game is now useless because I have acquired every pre dlc achievement there is.

I can't even use the refund money to buy it again, that's my main gripe.

I went as far as to contact the lizard squad to see if they hit the console services again, but they claim no responsibility and I believe them....they are way to cocky to deny it.

What a terrible day it has been.

Thank you very much for your response, I will always be a huge Bethesda fan and loyal customer.

This is not the fault of this company.

I believe that's the normal time the American PS Store is updated, so it's nothing unusual for PSN.

As far as I know, it goes something like this.

Xbox Live Marketplace: Weekly store update on tuesdays around midnight PST (except this week, it seems)
US PSN update: Weekly store update on tuesdays around 5pm EST
EU PSN update: Weekly store update on wednesdays around 5pm CET (Central European Time)
Steam update: Daily store update at 1pm EST

Exactly. Psn this is the usual for sure. But Microsoft... I'm really surprised by all the issues. Quite the bummed for all those anxious to play

Thanks to everyone for their patience. It's late here, but we're continuing to discuss the issue with the Xbox team so that 360 players can access the content as soon as possible.

Outside of 360, I've now managed to download the content on the other platforms -- pc, ps3, ps4, and Xbox One -- so it looks like you're good to go on those platforms.

Let us know if you have other questions.

Thanks again.
