I play a sword and board character but it seriously annoys me how I'm always still getting hit by arrows even when I have shield raised. I mean, sure, it's still possible to hit someone with a shield but the enemy has gotta be one hell of an archer to aim for that kind of accuracy. It also makes less sense when I'm using a very large shield like a Dragonborn or Daedric shield which should be able to shield nearly my character's entire body. This is just one of the worst annoyances that really ruin the combat immersion in my game.
And of course, I know there's the Deflect Arrows perk, which reduces arrow damage from shields to zero. But the perk doesn't affect the chances of my shield successfully blocking the arrow in the first place. Nothing does.
So is there a way to remedy this problem? I heard there's indeed a "shield blocking chance" variable in the game, but it's fixed at a default 70% for all shields. Is it possible to change this value in CK perhaps?
