I think there's nothing I can possibly say that would ever do him credit. Since the 1980s, his writing and wit have made such a positive difference to my life. One of the best authors the world has known.

I just saw this on a feed. That is a loss. I know he wasn't writing in recent years, but at least he can live on through a large number of terrific books.
