I'm upgrading my GPU primarly for Morrowind. Yes you read it right, it's currently the most resource hog of my games.

I get with

i2500@4GHz, 7950 3GB, 8GB RAM

MGSO + MGE XE all shaders 20cells distant land + Rebirth + 50 other mods

2560x1440p VSync 2xAA 16XAF

about 15-25 FPS outside, playable but would like more/ or even better draw distance.

I'm asking what kind of performance do people who have better GPUs, get? I was thinking R9 290 4GB but decided to wait R9 380 and freesync LCD so I don't have to use Vsync.
