Would there be any interest in this?

I have a mod I've made for myself, Call it a sort of 'overhaul' mod. Currently I've only done it by editing the Unofficial Oblivion Patch .esp file, but since that means I have to re-do it every time UOP is updated, I am considering making it a separate .esp, but still dependant on UOP (to avoid conflicts).

The biggest, most obvious change I've done, is that all guards in the Imperial City, apart from the jailors and Battlemages, now wear the Imperial Watch armour, not the Legion armour, and the Palace guards all wear the proper Palace Guard cuirass. This also means the Imperial Horseman's Helmets are now properly worn by Legion riders. Also, IC guards have Fine Steel weaponry, and other guards Steel, instead of silver.

For town guards, guard captains now are all Knights, and have steel boots, greaves and gauntlets, instead of Chain. This means that Skingrad guards now wear chainmail like in all other cities.

All mages guild mages With Wizard rank now wears the White Mages robes - i.e. the majority of the Arcane University staff, all Mages Guild leaders except Skingrad's, and Ancotar. Also the vast majority of mages, priests and healers now wear robes.

A few NPCs have had their Equipment changed to better reflect their class skills - the most obvious being Pinarus Inventius. Despite being a hunter and marksman trainer, he wears Heavy armour and Carries a longsword. He has been changed to having light armour, and Carries a bow and Arrows.

There are also lots of minor changes, such as Inventory clean-ups.

As said initially, I've currently bee doing this Project only for myself, but as I am converting it to a separate .esp anyway, was thinking I might as well release it to the Public, as a sort of overhaul mod?

Yes, there would be. I am very attached to features like this, that make the game more believable, visually consistent and enjoyable to me. I've installed quite some of them : OOO female guards, shield on back, diverse guards, unique forts, populated prisons, etc., not to forget the UOP of course.

However, I have to wonder how compatible your mod would be, especially with OOO's rather unorthodox method of handling vanilla guards, and replacing some of them with its own. That still provides for some silly-strange moments in-game where a guard dies in front of my eyes, without me (or anyone else) ever touching them ^.^
