Entertainment, and the time of day

Post » Mon Mar 23, 2015 11:21 am

I have realized that what I do for entertainment is directly tied to the time of day..

If I am going to watch something or play a game that is more "light hearted" in nature, I only seem to do it while the sun is still out..

meanwhile, after the sun sets and it gets dark out, I seem to watch things with a more dark or serious tone..

Anybody else like this? or is it just another one of my quirks?

I am also like this. I play serious games or watch serious things at dark hours, been playing RE HD Remastered only at night. Light games like Elder Scrolls, Minecraft, Doom I and II, I play mostly at day time. And I only play LOL when I am comfortable and the weather isn't so hot (where I live temperatures easily go above 34 celsius) normally at night after a shower with a strong fan at my side.

Drama movies or series I watch mostly at night, it is the time that I am more aware and probably nothing will bother me. TV Shows like Castle or Bones I watch during morning because it was the time they aired on AXN and Fox here in Brazil.

Here's a thread by pepe silvia you might be interested in: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1514649-playing-in-the-rain/

My computer is in a south-facing room so I sometimes avoid gaming or watching movies for an hour or two at mid-day. Even with our thin draqes closed, it can be tiring on my eyes to squint into my monitor if I'm going through a dark dungeon or watching a dark movie. Fortunately, Oregon in the winter is usually overcast.

It would be the reverse for me; I do the serious stuff during day time and enjoy at night...

Can't say the time of day or weather patterns have any effect on what I am in the mood for. I just do what I do.
