Main Quest is Terrible

So... I thought I would try and give NV a proper play through as I still havent. (It just breaks)

I thought I would just stick to the main questline for now then move onto the DLC's.

I got to the strip, and was about to go to the Top's Casino to confront Benny. Greeted by Victor (Who I had killed) and got told to speak to Mr House.

I went ahead and confronted Benny first. Went to his suite, got ambushed, then spoke to Yes Man.

All was good i thought. Got loads of info from Yes Man about my possible options. I thought I'd go speak to Mr House next.

So I did.... I get there, and Mr House asks like weve met a million times before. Already assumed I know everything...

So what the hell? What am I supposed to do? It seems like I HAVE to go see Mr House first, or it screws everything up. (So much for a branching questline with multple choice)

Well, all I can tell you is that Benny has fled to the Fort. I'm not sure if you encountered a glitch or something, but at the Fort, you will have options on how to proceed.

Yes i know that much.

It just seems stupid that Mr House is all [censored] up now that I did things in a slightly different order to what the game expected....

You had no idea what you were doing and went stomping into the Tops and you made your multiple choice. You don't HAVE to meet with Mr. House, but meeting with House was him trying to help you formulate a plan to recover the Platinum Chip from Benny covertly. Instead you ran off into The Tops and made your intentions known without exploring all your options and in turn Benny set up a trap to kill you and he's now fled to The Fort in an attempt to get to the bunker there. So you made one of the multiple choices, which is one of the chaos inducing ones.

Its not that that's the problem. The game is bugged...

Mr House talks as if weve met before, like i should know everything already.

I reloaded anyway... did it the way the game expects. Dunno why I'm surprised it doesnt work correctly.
