I was trying to move some controls around and somehow hit the esc. key to sheath/unsheathe my weapon.

That has jumped to all my saves/games. I cannot figure out how to fix this. So, now . . . to exit the game, I have to hit ctl/alt/del

Go to your Skyrim folder and delete the ControlMap_Custom.txt file located there. This will set all your key mappings back to defaults.
