Evil quests (top 5)

There is a difference, do we judge the quests objectively -- based strictly on merit -- or subjectively -- that is, taking into account the actual mechanics of playing the game, with all the bugs, quirks, etc.

Objectively, powering up Mephala's Ebony Blade is definitely the evilest deed you can imagine, mass betrayal and murder of those who trust you.

Eating someone's corpse seems almost beyond reproach by comparison.

But subjectively, you don't really need to betray even a single friend, you can, for example, kill Jaree-Ra (which is probably a good deed, actually) and power the Blade from his corpse 10 times, raising him over and over.

In my game, I have no qualms about most Daedric quests, but some Dark Brotherhood missions are very difficult for me from the moral standpoint.

Is there a quest that its not evil? You are an assasin, a thief and even when you join companions you become a werewolf and kill the "good guys" who want to destroy werewolves. You basically do nothing else than kill NPCs and stral their items. Thank god you have a couple of quests where you must collect nirnoots etc or else every single quest would be evil

There are a couple out of Solitude (The Man Who Cried Wolf and The Wolf Queen Awakened) that prevent Potema from returning. Fairly noble, heroic stuff. If you do Dawnguard, there's a series of quests to liberate kidnapped victims from vampires. The Dragonborn DLC also has at least one rescue mission (the smith).

But in general, you're right. Most of the activities are geared towards single-minded violence.

I was pretty cold about getting it too. I remember the boy telling me the mage had the key to the room and that I could pickpocket it or kill him, 'cause no one would miss him anyway. Oh? Ok. :-) I never did charge it up though. I've never used swords. Maybe one of these days I'll run the questline again, though.
