Where this is coming from is I d/l better bodies 3 beta; the graphics are crazy compared to previous versions of better bodies. I swapped textures into the original bb meshes and the new ones work fine, but I really like the new meshes as well. The only problem is they don't work for any of the clothes that are built for the original BB.
This got me thinking: if I can somehow edit the clothing meshes to mimic the new bodies, I could enjoy everything. The only problem is I'm a noob and have never edited meshes, so I'm not sure how daunting or easy of a task this might be. I thought since most of the clothes made are BB compatible, the people probably took the original body mesh and worked the clothing around that, chopping off any excess areas or adding more to make whatever outfits they desired. Am I right about this or do people just build something from scratch? Also, am I deluded into thinking this could be a somewhat easy task?
I was thinking since the new graphics work on the old body, I could just transfer the existing clothing textures onto the new models (if I can make them) and so I would only have to concentrate on the meshes.
Like I said, I'm a noob to modding of any type so I'm open to any input and advice from the more experienced members of this community. I'm not exactly sure where I would begin.
