I would really like to be able to set the CK so that only your current unlocked cell would allow permanent changes. So I could take apart an entire cell to see how it was put together but at the end of the session only MY cell would have any changes saved. So many times I've had to take apart and look then close without saving, then reopen to edit my cell. A waste of time to avoid unwanted edits.

You can easily snip the unintended edits from your file with TES5Edit.

I assume no such tool exists because it's okay if Bethesda alters cells during development, as it just merges the changes in and nothing bad happens.
