So on the plus side, EA decided to give us offline split-screen. On the down side, the multiplayer is shaping to be just like Battlefield's instead of previous Battlefronts*. And there is no SP campaign.

No word on Galactic Conquest yet, and I'm not sure if the offline split-screen is only for the "missions" (READ: multiplayer matches with bots ala Unreal Tournament 3) or if there is proper offline multiplayer with bots.

I'm still worried about this game. Between EA having a history of screwing up the simplest of tasks (and with this being the age of microtransactions, probably "adjusting" the game to "encourage" players to spend more money), and DICE releasing super-buggy games (Battlefield 4 at launch and for months after), I have a feeling this game is going to anger a lot of fans.

Please note that I didn't get all this from the article. I'm just taking the time to share my feelings on the game.

*As in, it's progression based. For those of you unaware, the original games has a system where you unlocked new classes and weapons during the match by killing the enemy's units. This put everyone on level ground at the start. It also meant that you could hop in a game at any time and not worry about being "underlevel" (like in Payday 2, where many are level 30+ with all the good equipment and you have nothing). If you can't tell, I hate progressions systems in multiplayer.

I don't want starwars battlefield, this is a sequel please.

I'm also worried it will feel to much like battlefield.

And no sp campaign is a downer.

Sadly EA will find some way to try to scraqe money with this game, thats just a given.

But the destruction and vehicles might feel awesome.

Well, they implemented the ability to switch between first and third person like previous Battlefront games so that's good. That was the main thing I was worried about most was a forced upon first person view considering this is DICE and EA we're talking about here. Still, a shame that there is no single player campaign. I rather enjoyed the story of the 501st in Battlefront 2.

Regardless, I too still remain skeptical of what Battlefront will become with DICE and especially EA at the helm. Will wait until some actual gameplay is revealed.

Well we kind of already knew with Dice making it, the odds of it being Star Wars:Battlefield are pretty high. I am pretty disappointed they left out the prequel trilogy. Unlike a lot of Star Wars fans I love all 6 (soon to be 7) movies. I have heard rumors that they have a pretty aggressive DLC plan for it, so I am sure they will add it eventually. And no single player campaign? Come on! I just hope Galactic Conquest is going to be in it.

I really don't like the idea of the multiplayer being like modern shooters, where you make a class and buy/upgrade weapons. I want it to be like classic battlefront, you select a class in game. Slowly unlocking more as you do better.

I also saw no mention of Space Battles, so are those out of the game now?
