I wanted to share this project I am currently developing called Trinus VR. To be brief, it is basically a low cost alternative to the Oculus Rift, using your own phone. The best part is that it is readily available for download, so you can start playing with it today.
All you need is an Android smartphone, Google Cardboard (or similar) and the Trinus VR server and client. If you don't have a headmount you can still check out the (free test) app to decide if you want to go ahead and buy one (Cardboard is less than 10$, although you can buy a better headmount for just a bit more).
I have prepared a page with detailed info on how to configure Skyrim for VR, but I'm new here so I cannot post links. Just google Trinus VR and you will find the links to the Play store, and to the main website with those instructions. (perhaps a veteran wouldn't mind replying with the direct link to the Skyrim instructions?)
I think it works great with Skyrim, and brings a new, immersive, dimension to the game. Don't act like a dragonborn, be one
