Hey y'all, after playing through ESO for the past year, I decided to play through Skyrim again. I think I have a strange issue though.

I played around 350 hours of Skyrim previously, including all DLC's, exploring and just covering all of the map trying to find everything, after that I uninstalled Skyrim through STEAM, all this being about a year ago. Last night I re-downloaded Skyrim and started a "new game" on Adept, but for some reason my new toon is killing everything with only one hit from a war hammer or 2 shots from a bow!

I'm on my first quest to Bleak Falls Barrow and I just went through all the bandits with one hit each....and I'm only half way through level 1, I haven't even upgraded a skill yet?? I Maybe this is normal(?) but I don't really remember the beginning being this easy.

Is it possible my game is borked somehow, did it carry stats over? OR is this just normal and I'm not remembering it? I don't want to play through any more till I find out if this is just the way the game is. Keep in mind I have no recollection as to how powerful my toon was in the beginning on my first play through, I just don't remember it being this easy before.

(NOTE:I have a physical copy but it's registered through STEAM so I just downloaded it all from there, not that that should make any difference)

Adept is easy if you've played the game extensively before. Normal bandits will die to 1 or 2 hits from a warhammer probably. Turn up the difficulty and see if your character still seems as strong.

the area around helgen and riverwood is generally full of enemies that are easier to kill.

you haven't reached it yet (others will know the exact levels), but, there are certain character levels where the enemies can jump ahead of you and become harder for the short-term.

and, adept and below is very easy.

You basically installed the game through steam the first time as well, you just needed the cd to register it on Steam.

You obviously have experience, and adept is really easy, so a warhammer taking down stuff in one hit sounds reasonable.
