I was at a local Cafe earlier today, had a Coffee and a Sandwich while I sat reading a book I had just bought.. after a bit I decided that before I started walking home, I would quickly go to the restroom. as I opened the door, I immediately saw the Toilet was overflowing heavily, so I went up to one of the waitresses and told her..
She told me to wait one second, came back and handed me a plunger
the conversation than proceeded like this:
Me: umm, why are you handing me this?
Waitress: so you can go fix the toilet
Me: isn't that kind of your job?
Waitress: No, we have to stay out here and help the customers
Me: but, there are like six of you working here, and you only have 2 customers.. why not get the waiter over playing on his phone to do it? or the one making a house of cards? or the one who is literally asleep at that table?
Waitress: Exactly!
Me: "Exactly" what?
Waitress: besides you, there are only 2 other Customers, so logic says you were the one to clog it, here is the plunger, i'll go grab you a mop and bucket
Me: what kind of logic is that? check the camera footage, I was in there for like 6 seconds, I couldn't use it because someone clogged it already
Waitress: Excuses excuses, you going to go in there and fix what you did, or shall i call the police?
Me: call the police for what? for not doing something because i neither caused it nor is it my job? tell you what, here's $20 for the Coffee and sandwich, you guys just lost yourselves a Customer, and looking around at all the empty tables, you never had many to begin with..
I walked out and never plan to enter that place again..
