The Elder Scrolls or Fallout

In your opinion, what do you like better - The Elder Scrolls or Fallout?

I like them both the same, but I am more of a Elder Scrolls fan.

I'm not that fond of the post-apocalyptic setting, so TES wins for me simply by not being post-apocalyptic. Not to mention I've been a TES fan since before even the first Fallout was released

Really enjoyed the gameplay in FO3 though, it would be nice to play a Cyberpunk game with similiar gameplay at some point. Hopefully Cyberpunk 2077 will live up to my expectations.

I like them both for being different games. I enjoy the older TES games but I don't like the older Fallout games, so I guess you could say by quantity I prefer TES. :P

Although I love Fallout (Bethesda's version), I am going to have to vote for The Elder Scrolls, because I really love fantasy.

Asking me to choose between Fallout and TES is really cruel. They are equally great. My favourite game out of all of them is Fallout 3 though, for what its worth. Mostly because it hit me at such a critical time in my life and helped me through a lot of bad stuff.

Why would you set it up where you can vote for both when asking which do you like better? Clearly some people are voting for both.

I voted TES as certain elements of Fallout turn me off completely.

I like both games very much and with the last two titles for each series (Oblvion/Skyrim, 3/NV) I have played both about the same amount of hours and created about the same amount of characters between them.

However of the main story arcs, I've done both for Fallout but only 1 for TES, completed more primary side quests for TES and each series I've completed 1 major DLC (Shivering Isles and The Pitt).

So playing them is pretty much down the middle. What seperates the two for me is the lore and I'm much more into TES lore than Fallout lore. I appreciate Fallout lore but TES lore gets heavy into spiritual lore and the supernatural than Fallout and this is why I enjoy it more because I love mythology and how various ones in real life have similarities and with TES there is a similar attraction because of it's own mythological parallels between the various Man/Mer religions.

All in all, I could really get into either because they're both great modern RPGs that resemble each other in different settings and are like no other games out there.

Now when it comes to pre-2006 titles, I'll take TES over Fallout.

Though with FO4 around the corner (hopefully), I'm definitely more in the mood to see that one. Also of the 4 recent titles, Fallout New Vegas is my favorite.

I like both but nothing beats TES as far as I′m concerned. Oblivion has been my go-to game for years
