I'm worried that Bethesda might try to appease the Kirkbride fans by officialy declaring that C0da is canon and that as a result any fanfic will be regarded as canon.

Eh, didn't kirkbride help with the kotn storyline? Honestly i'd be fine with them using some of the weird stuff he writes, it makes for pretty cool background lore.
some people may not like MKs work, but I still think Landfall would make an amazing game
No I'm not Kirkbride, I just don't like the idea that someone can write a Fanfic that contradicts the games and be regarded as just as canon, just because an ex-employee wrote a story on the internet and declared that canon is dead and that The Elder Scrolls is now open source, The simple matter of the fact is canon means whatever the IP holder says is a part of the official story and the only way the that The Elder Scrolls will become open source is if Zenimax or Bethesda declares it open source. I know full well that Kirkbride wrote most of the lore and changed The Elder Scrolls from a D&D style game to something more unique, but if anyone writes whatever they want and have it be canon because C0da makes it canon and C0da makes everything lore friendly, there won't be any continuity. I don't have a problem with people liking Coda or admiring Michael Kirkbride, I just don't want it to become official canon.
I'll let someone more articulate explain the relationship between C0DA and canon (it's not and it doesn't want to be), but I'll just say that we shouldn't really be worried. And it's so far removed from anything currently relevant in the TES universe that it wouldn't even matter. When Kirkbride writes for the games (and when he writes anything that isn't about Vivec), his weirdness is much more relevant, reined in, and engaging.
Where is the coda material posted? And what does it say underneath the forum heading?
It is Bethesda's game. The devs will decide where it heads and what needs to be considered lore. So far I haven't seen too much that is totally absolutely irreversibly carved into granite. Nirn. Tamriel. Talos. Maybe; but I haven't found anything definitive on whether Talos was Hjalti or not; and what was he? Okay, I'll give you two; he wasn't khajiit or argonian, but other than that.....
The basic idea behind C0da, from what i've read of it, is that is an open source collaborative project, started by Michael Kirkbride and Lady Nerevar, that anyone can contribute to by writing their own C0da and that The Elder Scrolls doesn't belong to Bethesda or Zenimax and that everyone has own their own headcanon, which is their interpretation of the lore, and I am fine with that, I just don't want it to become official.
If you want to find C0da go to Google and search for C0da and Tomorrowind Today
I think Kirkbride fans are so much of a minority that the cash cow milkers at Zenimax are not that much worried about them.
