Restoration and Alteration lore-wise

Something is bothering me about some of the spells in skyrim and the magic school they belong to. I'm not taking game-play wise, but stricly lore-wise.

1) Shouldn't the ward spells belong to alteration ?

2) Why doesn't Equilibrium, Detect Life and detect dead belong to restoration instead of alteration.

It seems more consistent to me this way, since Alteration is the school that consist of creating magical barriers whilr Restoration should be more dedicated to the manipulation of lifeforce.

You'll get responses that say they should be part of Mysticism (which was removed for Skyrim).

I'd recommend reading some of the in-game books, like "Response to Bero's Speech" and "The Black Arts on Trial" where the topic is discussed. There is obviously overlap between the various schools, and the Psijics treat them all as one.

Because multiple-school spells haven't been a thing since Daggerfall even though they totally should be. Also what ghastley said.
