Best Buy is offering $175 towards an Xbox One for the trade in of a 250GB Xbox 360, meaning I could get the One at half price for sacrificing my 360. I've been contemplating this and I'm not sure if this deal is something that I should take advantage of before it expires or hold out until an eventual future deal/price drop. I've browsed Ebay and they seem to be selling in the $100-140 range so the Best Buy deal would give me more then an online sale with Ebay taking their cut but there's the dilemma of parting with the console. I still enjoy games on it that I wouldn't be able to play again (namely Skyrim) and while the games are all in mint condition, the console is a couple of years old now so the risk of a random failure is something to consider....the risk of a new Xbox One failure is just as likely but it will at least be protected under warranty. I've never traded in a console before as I had little interest in sacrificing the old for the new but the half price deal and The Witcher 3 soon to be released are a tempting cookie dangling in my face.
So many pros and cons are balancing my brain so any opinions to help me tip the scales are appreciated.
