Killing the Glenmoril witches was pointless

Post » Thu Apr 30, 2015 3:25 pm

Okay, so the Companions made a pact with the Glenmoril Witches. They would serve Hircine in return for power, the power being lycanthropy.

Hircine, the Glenmoril witches, neither of them went to the Companions. It was their decision to make a pact with them, and to be blessed with lycanthropy.

The Glenmoril Witches are not bad people, they do cures for free (though sparingly) the fact that Kodlak’s idea was to just kill them and be done with it is so stupid. Especially after he just tells you not to needlessly slaughter people.

Kodlak is a hypocrite. A huge hypocrite.))

Yes, sacrficing Innocents for Power is not a Crime.

Those Lycanthropy Cure Scrolls are hard to inscribe, so just have the Person wanting to end Thier Lycanthropy Execute An Innocent at the Altar of Thrond :bonk:

This thread belongs in the spoilers section, so I will hide my response.

Spoiler
If I recall correctly, the witches tricked the companions, who did not initially understand that they would be turned into werewolves who would be forever barred from Sovngaard as part of the bargain. Further, the witches that were slain by the Dragonborn had been corrupted into hagravens due to their desire for power and were no longer the nice witches that cured people.
