No. The fact that you can't play older disks on new consoles is a blatant scam on the part of the designers. They have to specifically design the disk drive to be only compatible with certain disks. I'd understand not being able to play PlayStation disks in an xbox, but not being able to play 360 disks in a xbox one is purely designed to svck as much money from you as possible. If you could only use certain generation computer disks with certain generation computers people would be asking what the [censored] is wrong with these people, but they don't seem to get that consoles are computers. That's all they are. Computers designed with a very specific purpose in mind. There is no reason to make future generation consoles unable to play previous generation games. The only issue would be trying to play future games on older consoles and that could easily be fixed. When they coded the xbox they could have coded it to only play xbox games. With the 360, instead of erasing the coding for xbox games, they could have just added 360 games to the recognized disks. Xbox One adds xbox one disks to the recognized disks and so on for future consoles. Instead they say screw you, you can only play xbox one games with this console regardless of the fact that we made the previous consoles and this one is just basically an upgraded version of the previous one. If they were to then say well you know, I COULD let you play your old games, if you give me more money, it'd basically be extortion. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to reward them for deliberately [censored] us by giving them more money for something that shouldn't be an issue. I could put up with an initial level of [censored] because you just have to expect that from greed driven companies like this, I couldn't put up with yet another layer of [censored] though.
