Well, I've been wondering about this game series and how hard it is. I mean the original NES version trilogy. But! my question is, have you ever won one of these? Because I haven't and I don't even know anyone who does.

i own ninja gaiden on xbox and finished it. there's some great ideas in the game and, at times, the game is very fun. however, the camera/controls are horrid, at times.

good game, but, like mass2, it didn't make me want to play the next game.

My best childhood friend had the first Ninja Gaiden for his NES, and we played it a ton and eventually beat it.

The NES had plenty of hard games like Battletoads, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man just to mention a few. And they made you die, a lot, and yet you kept playing them over and over until you knew the levels blindfolded and could play thru the games in less than a hour. Not many games like that today, instead they are a lot easier thanks to generous checkpoints, autosaves and/or infinite lives.

Got Ninja Gaiden Shadow for the original Game Boy, which was a fairly easy game actually. But I still had fun with it and played thru it multiple times. Got Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3 too, but never got into that game and played it much. So I never finished it.

I never liked those games, honestly. They never appealed to me and as with Castlevania I hated with a passion the knock-back whenever you got hit and I still do. Look, just take energy away, you don′t have to steamroll me!!

*deep breaths*

I had the three NES games as a kid. I know I beat 1 and 3, but I don't think I ever did beat 2.

They are very difficult games. If I tried to play them now, I know it would be a disaster.

I beat it long ago but as with anything from that generation, I know I would get too frustrated and not be able to do it now. -thinks back to the madness of Mega Man-
