Problem with static distant objects

Post » Sat May 09, 2015 5:42 am

Hi, ive got big problem with poping static distant objects like bleak falls barrow or dragonsreach - they textures load only when im very close to them. Ive changed nearly all settings in skyrim.ini and skyrim prefs.ini , reseted them to original values, used skyrim configurator to max view distance, changed ugrid to loads. i dont have any idea why those textures wont load from normal distance. any ideas?

The ugrids line is tied to a save no matter how you change it. I think there are ways to truley change it back with console or mods. Before you do, have you tried starting a new character? If not, do that and go to the spot where it is most noticeable with the same settings. This is to see if it is just your save or a game issue. Come back with your findings :)

thanks for fast answer. problem is not related to mods - ive tested with no mods active. im playing with standard ugrids = 5, ive just tested higher values to see if that will fix it - it didnt.

problem exists with new characters and clean saves too. first time i can see it after escaping from helgen, walking with ralof to riverwood - he points at bleak falls barrow talking about draugs - i see only mountains and so - no building textures are loaded :/

i cant post link to screen shoot

Was that problem generally related to Skyrim, or occurred after installing mods ???

Well...

Do the uninstall procedure like this:

First do a standard uninstall. (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features-> Uninstall The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Next, delete your skyrim folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\

Then delete your Skyrim directory under Documents\My Games (Back-up your save files, but don't use them, ans start a new game)

Then under C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\ - Delete the Skyrim folder that is in it.
(You should enable to see the hidden files under windows to delete that folder.) HOW: (View - Options - Folder Options - View - Advanced Settings: Show hidden files, folders and drives)

Go to your Steam folder. Delete the folder named appcache. (Important)

Use Ccleaner after all this (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner), Go to the Registry tab and hit -
In the Options tab go to Monitoring and uncheck: Enable System Monitoring and Enable active Monitoring

Reboot your computer (Important)

Then install your game again, from scratch. !!!!

*** You don't need to uninstall Steam. ***

-----

Also, revert your GPU settings to the default settings.

If you could play at first place without problems, then something interferes with your game.

Also, have you installed recently any utility related to your GPU or game ???
