Hello everyone. I'm currently stumped by something. I've played 70+ hours of New Vegas and I've now decided to start playing the DLC. Alas, things did not go as expected. The moment after I walk up to the radio in the Bos bunker and I listen to Elijah talking, the game crashes the moment he finishes talking with me.

I've tried 5 times now and it always crashes. I don't see how, the game hasn't crashed in 70+ hours of gameplay, but it crashes every time I as much as think about entering the damn Sierra Madre.

I tried disabling all my mods, but it doesn't help. Actually without my mods Elijah doesn't even get the chance to finish talking, the game crashes right after the cutscene.

How do I fix this? I paid money for this game and I expect it to work!

I have NVSE installed.

Any suggestions? I tried posting pictures of my specs, my mod list etc but it wouldn't work. If you need to know something, just ask.

I would recommend re-installing the Dlc

Try a game cache verify first.

Unequip everything off your character + disband any companions that you have. Try it.

Start a new game and head over to Dead money. Type TMM 1 in console for toggle map marker. You can also use TGM for toggle god mode so you don't die (just in case).

See if the same thing happens. THis is with mods. If it still crashes it's probably not your save.

Then try without mods. Uncheck everything except the DLC. DIsable archive invalidated and remove NVSE plugins. Remove ENB series if you have it + any other mods for the game.

Try it on both your save and a new game.

Anyway, I had something similar but at the end of the DLC (I won't say what at the end, obviously). The YUP patch that fixes a lot of things helped with that, do you have YUP installed?
