xEdit Dialogue not included in Merge Patch?

Something has been bothering me for awhile,

this isn't a critique of xEdit, just a general question;

When i create a merge patch, i notice that i have never gotten dialogue to actually merge, if you look at the image, my understanding is that Fook would 'win' out since its lower in the load order. Therefore only the dialogue options for the fook plugin would load.

Is this reasoning the same for dialogue? Should I be merging all of those records into my merge plugin?

With so many entries, i'm just wondering if i'm wasting my time, or there is a specific reason (for example, the dialogue is not actually affected by load order, therefore they don't need to be merged). Just wondering.

xEdit is hardcoded to merge only specific records and elements inside them, and DIAL records are not part of them.

As for you question - QSTI subrecords are merged by the game at runtime as far as I know.

Thanks for the reply,

I did merge all the QSTI records for F:NV into my Merge Patch and didn't notice anything wrong, do you think it may cause any issue?

I mean, i did sort of assume that something might be different since xEdit team didn't merge those records through its quick patch, but i wanted to be 100% sure.

Spoiler

and i'm asking on here, because it looks like xEdit comments were shut down b/c the guys were gangstalked by newbies looking for general troubleshooting. sad.
