Howdy folks,

The family is going to load up the Truckster at the end of July and head to just outside Gulf Shores, AR.

We're looking for ideas of places to see/things to do for family of 4 with a 10 yo brainy girl and 8 yo active boy. We'll be at the coast for 3 full days. So far the line-up slants towards the y-chromosome with visits to the USS Alabama, USS Drum, and NAS Pensacola/Naval Air Museum. Possiblly a historic fort as well.

Mammoth Cave will be seen ion the drive in or out from the coast.

Ideally we'd like to do some fishing, or get out on the ocean.

But what else is there to do in southern AR? Cultural points of interest? Museums? Shops? Cullinary places (daughter loves cooking), famed UFO landing sights? Other?

Just out of curiosity, but do you mean, AL...as in Alabama?
