Skipping intro splash screen?

Post » Fri May 15, 2015 2:50 pm

So every time I load Skyrim, it shows a black screen then the menu screen. I don't get to see a startup scene at all.

I have reinstalled skyrim and run it straight from the launcher yet no bethesda logo plays.

Not sure on how to get logo scene to play again.

I am also using vanilla skyrim.

I think ENB has an option in the .ini file to skip the intro, do you have that installed?

Also, make sure you have the .bik file in the Data/Videos folder (BGS_logo.bik).

Edit: I just checked my ENB .ini files and I do not see that option, but I know I have seen a Skyrim mod that gives that option (MGE for Morrowind gives that option to skip the intro). What mods do you have?

I've been trying to fix this for the past few days yet of course I fix it right after making this topic lol.

Yes, I run Realvision Enb. After deleting the ini, pref.ini files and validating Skyrim I am able to see the splash screen.

I assume I am able to edit the Enb ini files to enable the splash screen?

I assumed so, I have seen an option like that before. I looked at mine but I either missed it or I didn't recognize it.

You also mentioned validating Skyrim. It was likely the file went missing too, so it got redownloaded...

You want to enable the logo? Wow, that's a first.

Normally you can disable it by adding a line in the .ini or deleting the logo's .bik file. Since you redownloaded both, I can't say which change was the culprit. Probably the .bik, though.
