Right, so I want to get back into playing skyrim, but I have several problems, every time I get around one, another pops up.

The first problem is, that when I launch the game all I get is a black screen, no sound. So when I go to task manager it says the game is Not Responding, and I also can't even close the game. I can fix this problem sometimes by "Verifying the Integrity of Game Cache" on Steam, but this always doesn't work. So once it happens to the game I need to restart my computer so I can try again.

Another issue is that after playing the game for a short amount of time it just freezes, no motion but sound in the background. I haven't figured out anyway to fix this at all so far.

These have been happening to me for a few days now and it is getting frustrating. I have checked my load order several times and there is nothing wring with that. I have also tried changing the graphics settings to something lower, but it crashes again ans when i Verify it, the game settings gets reset.

I would appreciate any help at ll with this.

Have you tried it in windowed mod ??? If that's the case, it may you hardware, can't keep up with your installed mods

Also what's without mods, on a new character ??? If that's the case, it could be mod related. Except the load order, have you run tes5edit to clean your mods ???

Also post a dxdiag !!!

How:

1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter R.
2. In the Run dialog that appears type "dxdiag" without the quotes in the text box and press Enter.
3. If you get a request asking to check if your drivers are digitally signed choose "Yes."
4. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool that appears, in the bottom-right click "Save All Information..."
5. On your Desktop, save "DxDiag.txt"
6. Double click DxDiag.txt on your Desktop to open it, press Control-A to select all, Control-C to copy.
7. In this thread, click in the posting text box and press Control-V to paste the DxDiag.txt information into your initial post or an additional reply.

(without the spaces between)
