Modding Question: Regarding 3D models

I am not sure if this is the right location, but I am gonna go with it. Being it's now 2015 and most people's hardware is greatly updated [just returning to this game], what would be a good maximum polycount [i.e. face-count] for a single large architectural model that would fit in with a city [not including actors, scripts, e.c.t.]?

I am currently working on a model, and decided I wanna use it in morrowind, but it's quite bit hefty in the poly-count.
