Rendezvous Destiny
"This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
It has been one month since the fall of Adams Air Force Base and the shattering of a coherent Enclave. Scattered across the Capital Wasteland, remnants of the Enclave have survived. Now, they converge upon Mount Weather, a Pre-War facility where a signal has emanated across secure Enclave Radio Frequencies broadcasting a rendezvous call.
"This is Outpost Epsilon. Authentication Code Alpha-Delta Two-One-Niner. Calling all Enclave Personnel, Protocol Omega Thirteen is in effect. All Units are to proceed to Rendezvous Point Destiny. I say again, All Units are to proceed to Rendezvous Point Destiny. This is Outpost Epsilon, Out."
You are a member of the Enclave approaching Mt. Weather, your stories are many, but you have all turned to Mt. Weather and once there, will decide the fate of the Enclave. Be it survival, or extinction.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Abraham Lincoln

"Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all." - George Washington
Dramatis Personae:
Sgt. John Matrosov - Colonel Martyr
Name: John Matrosov
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Physical Appearance: Long brown but greying hair and a beard with a matching tone. His face is now covered with a long scar from the beginning of his right eyebrow to just under his left cheekbone and a Pre-War eyepatch. His height is average around 5'8 and 5'9 and his build is also equally average.
Age: 45
Rank:(Formerly) Staff Sergeant, Currently Sergeant
Personality: A man of conflicting duties, tying his duty to the Enclave superiors with what he believes is the 'true' Enclave way. He is loyal to the Enclave, but questionably to his superiors. He tends to be philosophical about his existence and mixes a cocktail of agnosticism and cyncism to life but takes each situation as it comes. Not a grim man or shy of jokes and a good moment of relaxtion.
Possessions: Dirty and worn Enclave Uniform and Pre-War Combat Armour with the black Enclave insignia and the on the pauldrons and chest. Carries an R91 custom fitted with a night vision scope and bolt to change between semi-automatic and automatic bursts and a 10mm pistol. Also carries a pack of smokes and a Pre-War lighter. Also has his eyepatch to hide his eye socket.
Background: Born to a family from Navarro, John saw a lot of action even as a young soldier. In his forties he's become something his deceased father, an Enclave officer of renown, would be ashamed of. While not a problem soldier in terms of attitude and causing problems on the base, his frequency to conveniently 'forget' to follow through an objective or otherwise do his duty to the letter caused much headache for his superiors. He won little love from his Commanding Officer in New York City when he didn't follow through with securing a power plant when the people there saved his life after a bandit ambush. Infuriated by his 'softness for mutants' he was swiftly demoted and sent to a 'special assignment to some hotel in West Virginia. Apparently there was a bunker that was recommissioned shortly before the War and, according to High Command, was of prompt importance. Of course, soldiers doing as soldiers do, share stories when bored and the open secret was that you getting sent there was a career ending assignment. The kind of place for screw ups, people garnering the wrong people's hate, major problems and useless officers to end out their duty riding a desk. John was one of them and served out his duty constantly struggling to find supplies, given they were only resupplied every six months, even then it amounted to the surplus goods barely fit for recruits to hold a scrap car fort.
Over time, bandits came into the area but their numbers were dying off. Some died of combat injuries and others died of sickness or radiation with no medical supply and nothing nutritional to fill them. Others simply gave up on an already hopeless posting and shot or hung themselves. Eventually it was just him holding out. No one from Command cared enough and what few people did come and see what terrible situation was there simply deserted and he didn't blame them. When the normally quiet transmitters came to life broadcasting the alert for all units, he knew they were desperate, but if it meant desperate enough to yank him from a hellhole like the one he was it, it was better than this.
Lt. Lewis Anderson - Paladin Lewis
Name: Lt. Lewis Anderson
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Age:28
Physical Appearance: Lewis is 6’1”, 170lbs. short Black hair and 5’O clock shadow with green eyes. Considered attractive to women, has two scars; a slash above his right eye and a Gunshot wound in the chest.
Rank: Lieutenant
Personality: Roberts tries to do what's right, but often his orders requires him to do things that wrong and whilst he is loyal to the enclave he much prefers Colonel Autumn to Eden and believes he would do a much better job at restore the United States to its former glory.
Possessions:
Armour: A slightly dirty and worn Enclave officer uniform, the jacket is usually open revealing a Black shirt and Tan tie Lewis wears underneath with a broken American flag pin on the shirt pocket. Lewis also wears an enclave officer hat.
Weapons/Equipment: Roberts carries an AEP7 laser pistol that has modified to fire automatic, Two Pulse grenade and a bloodstained ripper.
Miscellaneous: a standard issue enclave Tool-kit, death-claws controller device and a bag of wasteland currency (1000 caps).
Background:
The son of one of few enclave personnel who was able to get off the oil rig before it was destroyed; Lewis Anderson was born in an Enclave facility in Southern Illinois, near what was Scott AFB near St Louis.
When Lewis was sixteen he was drafted into enclave armed forces and send Adams AFB for training. Induction testing showed a talent for mechanical repair, explosives and small arms so he was assigned to a Combat Engineer Company. Trained as a Combat Engineer, Lewis is proficient at building field fortifications and erecting buildings, as well as the use of explosives and small arm.
Once he training was finished Lewis was deployed to the Kansas city were enclave forces were building a new outposts to spy on this “legion” force that seemed to be gaining power in what was once the American south mid-west..
For the next several years Anderson was employed in similar simulations in south mid-west before eventually being promoted to lieutenant and by 2277 had been transferred to the Raven Rock under the command of Major J.J Black.
When the invasion of the capital wasteland began Lewis was send to place in the Northwest sector know by the locals as “deathclaw sanctuary” to attempt to capture death-claws for the enclave scientists who deemed them useful in military operations... Whilst the death-claws may have been useful it was bloody difficult to capture them with several soldiers being killed or injured but the team where able to capture and them tame death-claws which were used by the enclave and shock troops against the Brotherhood.
However even with the death-claws it seemed like the enclave was unable to hold back the brotherhood with Lewis hearing word that Adams air force base had fallen before radio silence…
The news shocked the squad with several committing suicide or walking off into the waste or attack the Brotherhood. Lewis and those willing to stay attempted to hide out in the a drainage camber near the deathclaw caves until the heat from the brotherhood died down but after a (few months) there food and water supplies began to run low and brotherhood scouts where spotted in the area. .
Realising the enclave was over and not wanting his men to die in a [censored] cave Lewis ordered his remaining men to leave, forget the enclave and start a new life in the wasteland. Lewis and one of the scientists remained behind to destroy all enclave equipment when suddenly when the transmitter began to broadcast an alert for all units to meet up mount weather…
Radioing to his men about the message Lewis and scientist gathered up there belonging and began to make their way towards mount weather.
Dr. Andrew Valmont - Lt. Andronicus
Name:Dr. Andrew Valmont
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasion
Age: 26
Physical Appearance: Valmont has short brown hair which is neatly combed. Due to his relatively poor eyesight, he also wears a pair of glasses. He's physique is far from athletic and he looks to be a rather pasty and frail individual. He's certainly the "brain" to the soldiery's "brawn."
Rank: Scientific Doctor
Personality:Valmont his aloof and reserved, and is usually a very difficult person to get to know and to be around. He's quiet personality however betrays an intense loyalty to the Enclave and his comrades even if he might think a bit highly of himself and his theories and ideas (especially with regards to his own field), which occasionally lands him the ire of his fellow scientists. However, he's not above to admitting when he's made a mistake, and values the opinions of his colleagues when he knows that their expertise on a matter supersedes his own.
Secretly, also possesses a rather sadistic streak when it comes to wastelanders, as he considers them to be little more than animals: fully believing the Enclave and those of pure-human genetics to be the only "true" humans left. During the Brotherhood Enclave War rumours also circulated that he conducts various experiments on captured human wastelanders and Brotherhood POWS for a variety of scientific reasons (mostly involving the robo-brain program).
Possessions: Enclave science suit and a white lab coat (both worn and dirty from the wastes). He favors the ever reliable AEP7 laser pistol for side-arm defensive purposes. He also carries a number of scientific instruments in a pack along with what scraps of research notes he was able to salvage from Adams.
A Mister-Gusty companion, GR-43, is his bodyguard and former lab assistant. GR-43 was a side-project of his and he upgraded a few of the robots systems, to include a higher-damaged plasma weapon and enhanced combat and tactical anolysis algorithms (along with a unique personality matrix). As a companion, GR-43 helps to serve as a protector and pack-mule.
Background:
Born and raised in the years following the Enclave's evacuation to Raven Rock from Navarro, Valmont quickly showed an adeptness and interest in various robotics technologies which is where he began to specialize his knowledge and training in. Primarily, his interests lay in the field of Artificial Intelligence and thus the programming of various supplementary Enclave robotics forces. He was quickly assigned a position as a robotics specialist for the department of research and development and despite his relatively young age, was regarded as a chief authority in the field of robotics and AI for the Enclave. Spearheading development projects which, among others, included improvements to the eyebots terrain and tactical anolysis algorithms.
As an AI specialist, he was also one of the few privy to the fact that the President was an AI system. A truth which did nothing to dampen his loyalty to the President, whom he assisted whenever he was called upon to do so: fiercely believing Eden would lead the Enclave to a better future.
Following the destruction of Raven Rock and the war with the Brotherhood of Steel, Valmont continued his work at Adams Air Force Base, where his role was greatly expanded in order to fill the positions of various comrades lost. With the death of President Eden, Valmont threw his support behind the acting High Command, believing they would be able to salvage the situation. As part of the effort to turn the tide of the war, Valmont was part of the team that worked on bringing the Hercules Bradley online, and was there for the first salvo shots which destroyed the hated Liberty Prime.
Despite the best effots of their military forces however, the Enclave was once again thrown on the defense and eventually Adams airforce base itself was invaded and overrun. Valmont was one of the last to leave the Crawler, as he refused to leave behind valuable research equipment and work until he was left with no other choice. When it became clear the battle was lost, Valmont grabbed what he could, abscounded with GR-43 and scrambled out of the base in an evacuation vertibird. His evac bird was heavily damaged however, and forced to land outside D.C. In the course of attempting to head to the evac point on foot, Valmont became separated from the rest of the group in the vertibird and was forced to continue on alone with GR-43.
Knowing no other alternative, he has made a long journey across the wastes, in the accompany of his trusty robotic companion, to head to Mount Weather.
Lt. Joesph Henderson - Vatrou
Name: Joesph Henderson
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Age: 21
Physical Appearance: At the age of 21 Joesph stands at 5'7" with a square jawline and broad shoulders. However that's about as masculine as he gets. Unlike his hulking Older Brothers Joesph was never fit for the front-lines he has a light build and short trimmed Brown hair. Or well it was now his hair is a bit unkempt and he now has a light beard. Brown eyes and a pair of spectacles complete his general appearance.
Rank: Comms Officer
Personality: Frankly scared out of his wits. He was pretty quiet on base simply relaying messages and orders back and forth between Officer and Squads, but to mask his fear he uses snide remarks both revealing his hate of the Savages and the Failure of Command.
Possessions: A Dirty Enclave Officers Uniform with Hat, and Pre-War brown leather http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81q12nJ84QL._SL1500_.jpg. His weapons include a Recharger Pistol (The weapon appears to be modeled after the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha, but is the standard recharger pistol. The Enclave can't go around using damaged weapons after all.) And a H&H Tools Nail Gun. Other items include radio frequencies a journal and pen, a lighter and watch.
Background: Born and raised on Adams Air Force base, Joesph and his three siblings, his two older brothers and his younger brother grew up knowing only the Crawler and the surrounding base. His two Older Brothers went off to training and came out hulking soldiers while he and his younger brother went on to become a Communications Officer and Scientist respectively. Joesph drew the short end of the stick having neither brains nor brawns. But he still hummed along to the tune that Eden Preached.
As the Enclave first set foot on the C.W. Soil War erupted and the unthinkable happened. Raven Rock fell, and an army of Brotherhood Soldiers came marching on their doorstep. As the command structure fell a final attempt to hold off the attackers by one of the last high ranking officers still aboard the Crawler, someone named Sutler. Joesph had not really met him before but he held off the attackers long enough for him and others to escape. Joesph could only guess what befell the man. Their Hero. Now one month later a call from Mount Weather has echoed throughout all Enclave channels calling everyone one able to it's doors. Alone and angry Joesph makes his way there.
Sgt. Leo Thompson - Aussie_made
Name: Leo Thompson
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Physical Appearance:
- Sun-bleached blonde medium length hair, slicked back.
- Crystal blue eyes.
- Rough short beard, blondish brownish.
- Unblemished face
- Button nose, thin mouth and regular sized ears.
- Scars and abrasions cover his torso
- Medium height (5’8) well built, muscular.
- Damaged leg, walks with a slight limp
Rank: Shock Trooper Sergeant
Personality: Leo is thoroughly patriotic; his belief in the Enclave is complete and total. They were doing what was necessary to bring peace to a world lost in anarchy. A true soldier, Leo had always followed his orders to the letter with his nerve unwavering when it came to wiping the mutated population from the wastes.
Before the war with the Brotherhood, when off duty, Leo had a much softer side which his family and close friends saw. He can be very romantic, loving, charming and loyal. This side of the man has suffered greatly from the destruction of Adam Air Force Base and the death of his family.
Possessions:
- Tesla Power Armour
- Plasma Rifle, few cells remaining
- Side arm, 9mm, several magazines
- White tee, blue denim jeans, aviators and leather jacket (Depending on if we have settled somewhere yet)
- Locket necklace with picture of wife inside
Background:
Born in Raven Rock Leo spent his days as a boy dreaming of the reclamation of pre-war America. Listening to the Enclave radio, watching old projections of baseball games and pre-war life in general Leo dreamed of the day he could bring peace to the disease ridden, apocalyptic world.
As soon as he was of age he became a part of the military, rising through the ranks and working his way into the shock troopers. He and his squad were the first to hit project purity, swiftly destroying the petty resistance offered. During his station there Leo fell in love with an Enclave scientist, Maria, though it was fast the two were incredibly affectionate and just before the attack by the Brotherhood, Maria fell pregnant. Barely escaping the left over Enclave personnel retreated to Adam’s Air Force base where the two, thankful they survived, were wed.
Two weeks later the Brotherhood attacked once again, Leo was put in charge of evacuating the civilian and scientist personnel before returning to the action. Despite not being happy about not being on the front line, he did as ordered with his wife joining him on his vertibird. As they took off they took a hit from a missile launcher, crash landing just outside the base, Leo and one other soldier were the only ones to survive the crash. Pulling themselves from the wreckage just in time to see the total destruction of the air base.
(TBC by prologue) Following protocol, the two set off to the final retreat point of the Enclave, unsure even if the Enclave continues to exist or if they are walking into a trap.
Lt. Adrian Rockwell - Aldin_Kiris
Name: Adrian Rockwell
Gender: Male
Age: Early 30's
Race: Caucasian
Physical Appearance: A rather large man standing at a height of 6'2 and approximately 180 lbs. He has black hair, in a standard military buzz cut fashion, though it has grown a little since the fall of Adams. He doesn’t have much facial hair to speak of, but due to him not having a proper facility to shave in, he currently sports a limited amount of stubble as well. He possesses many different scars which he got from a variety of different sources, though most he acquired during missions. Rather stern countenance with dull green eyes that look like they've seen better days. Generally considered to be a rather menacing-looking individual.
He’s well-built and muscled due to his extensive training and life as a soldier of the Enclave. He's a bit thinner than he was a month ago due to his food supply being more limited than it was with the Enclave, but he's managing. Could be considered attractive to most wasteland women, but he wouldn't be caught dead fraternizing with his enemy.
Rank: Lieutenant
Personality: Patriotic to a fault, Lt. Rockwell is completely and utterly loyal to the Enclave and its vision. Extremely stubborn, especially when it concerns the Enclave, Rockwell was never one who gave morality much thought, opting instead to leave that to those in charge. He also had a bit of sadistic side, almost gleefully caring out even the most gruesome orders without a second of hesitation. A soldier through and through, he carried out his orders to the letter and without question, no matter what those orders might have entailed.
Despite his seeming cruelty however, he can be quite friendly towards other Enclave citizens and personnel, viewing them as family.
Due to his rather extreme nature, he believes the Enclave and its people are the only "true" humans in the wastes, and thus possesses no pity or sympathy for the rest of the wasteland. To him, they are at the very best second-class citizens, and at the very least, scum to be dealt with as necessary. Unfortunately for the vast majority of the wastelanders Rockwell has happened to come across, he tends to favor the latter view most of the time.
On the battlefield his training kicks in, aiding him in maintaining a level head in order to make calculated and informed decisions. However, he still maintains a certain degree of ruthlessness as well, and won't hesitate to maim or mutilate his enemies if the situation calls for it. He isn't above torture either, though this side of him has really only been prevalent in this last month since Adams fell and he succumbed to his hatred.
Since the Enclave's defeat Adams, Rockwell has become extremely hateful and spiteful of any and all in the wastes, his already extremely low opinion of them lowered even more, to the point he doesn't believe any of them are worth the air they breathe and are unfit to even stand in his, or any Enclave-affiliated person's, presence.
The Brotherhood of Steel are the ones who have truly earned his ire however. Of all the scum of the wastes, to Rockwell the Brotherhood are the worst of them, and he has vowed to make them suffer in whatever way he could.
Possessions: Advanced Power Armor MK. II, urban Plasma rifle, 10mm pistol, and a combat knife. When not in the armor, he sports black Enclave fatigues.
For personal effects he carries a military duffle bag filled with various survival gear, such as rope, a first aid kit, and the like.
Background: Born to a soldier father and scientist mother in one of the Enclave's outposts in the Midwestern Region, Adrian Rockwell had a rather happy upbringing compared to most. His mother and father loved each other and loved him, and Adrian grew up in a happy, loving family. His father and mother were both patriots, each of them very often regaling a young Adrian of a grand old place known as the United States of America. And not only did they tell of the age gone by, but also of the Enclave's mission, that they would be the ones to restore this land to its former glory, reclaim the past, and set everything right. In this way, the parents had successfully passed on their emphatic patriotism to their child.
Growing up in the Enclave, Adrian was enthralled in their history, and more importantly, their mission. Of particular interest to him was his father's role, a soldier, one who fought on the front lines for the Enclave and their values, who served as a bulwark between the good people of the Enclave and the unwashed masses. When he became of age, he immediately enlisted into the Army. Adrian excelled in his training, and with the help of his father, was moulded into a fine warrior for the Enclave. After some time and success as a soldier, Adrian got his first major assignment. He was to go to Raven Rock in the former Capital of the U.S and meet up with the bulk of Enclave's forces. Though his parents were to remain behind at the outpost, they wished their son the best of luck and sent him off with their blessing. Adrian, knowing he wouldn't hear from or see them for some time, promised to do his utmost best and return to them when his mission was complete.
Raven Rock was everything he had hoped it would be. He was now on the front lines himself, literally standing between Enclave and its enemies. However, it was also during this time he changed his way of thinking. On patrols, he'd see the worst of the wasteland, raiders, chem fiends, and the like, and soon came to the realization that these people, these undesirables, really were far beneath the Enclave, and that everything he had been told as a child about these impure savages that now clung to their miserable lives in the wastes were true. He had heard the tales of what the savages did to their brothers back in the west in what used to be California, and they changed him.
His patriotism had quickly turned into rage. And as he was taught, he used that to fuel himself. In his eyes, the Enclave was right, and everything else was wrong. It was what he had been taught as a child. It was what the army had taught him. When they asked him to carry out missions that some might consider "wrong" or "inhuman", Adrian did so without a word. In fact, he took a good amount of joy in them, because in this way he not only was able to fulfill his purpose of serving his beloved Enclave, but also satisfy that darker part of him that demanded blood for those lost.
Years had passed, and without his parents to temper those emotions with their traditional morals, the feelings of rage and vengeance became who Adrian Rockwell was. He had excelled in his missions in the past few years, turning himself into a weapon for the Enclave, who in turn rose him through the ranks. They shaped him into a killer, and that's what he did, not only being good at it but taking a thorough pleasure in it as well. His combat prowess, raw devotion, and unwavering resolve to do what was asked of him regardless of what it might be earned him the good graces of his superiors, and there was even talk of a promotion to Sigma Squad.
And then Brotherhood/Enclave war started. At first, Adrian was thrilled. This was by far his best chance to prove himself, and to spill a little wastelander blood while he was at it. He got his chance too, as his squad was one of the ones that spearheaded the Enclave's offensive, storming the Jefferson Memorial and taking it by force. The mission was a success, and Adrian was flown back to Raven Rock for reassignment.
When the Brotherhood launched its counter-offensive, Adrian was assigned to Zulu squad, whose mission was to ambush and destroy Brotherhood patrols, something Adrian enjoyed immensely. If he hated wastelanders in general, he absolutely loathed the Brotherhood. More than a few Brotherhood soldiers met an untimely and gruesome end at Adrian and Zulu's hands.
At first, the war was a resounding success. The Enclave saw victory after victory, and it appeared they were well on track to winning the war. Things quickly took a turn for the worse when the Brotherhood began the use of a weapon meant to destroy Communists during the Great War however. The weapon, a giant, nigh-indestructible robot named Liberty Prime quickly turned the tide of the battle, and soon the Enclave was on the defensive.
Not long after, Raven Rock was evacuated and destroyed as the Brotherhood and Liberty Prime assaulted it. The Enclave had retreated back to Adams Air Force base, their last stronghold in the region. Zulu squad was no exception. Utilizing a missile satellite, the Enclave managed to destroy Liberty Prime, but the Brotherhood soon stormed Adams itself not long after.
Adrian and the rest of Zulu Squad holed themselves up inside on of the buildings on the base, but when Adrian went to the third floor of the building to provide overwatch, a Brotherhood missile struck, causing the centuries-old building to give way and collapse. Adrian plummeted to the ground floor, where the impact caused him to lose consciousness and become buried in rubble.
The Enclave had now officially lost the war, with the Brotherhood destroying most of Adams when they left. Zulu squad, aside from Adrian, had all been killed when the building collapsed. Adrian however, by some miraculous (or perhaps cruel) twist of fate, managed to survive, his armor preventing him from being crushed. The Brotherhood, in their haste to achieve victory, had apparently neglected to sift through the rubble, or at least hadn't had yet had a chance to do so, and Adrian went unnoticed. Adrian could only guess that given some time, they'd be back to reap the spoils of their victory, and that time was of the essence.
But for now, he was relatively safe. Managing to free himself from the rubble, he looked around only to find everything completely devastated. The Brotherhood blew up the Crawler along with most of the base, leaving little to salvage. He searched through the rubble to find the remains of his squad, only to find nothing but spent cells and empty magazines, their bodies not there, or simply out of his reach.
As he surveyed the destruction of the place he once called home, He wept. He wept for his friends, he wept for his Enclave, and he wept for his home. He wished he died there along with them, but for whatever reason, he was spared, and decided he was going to survive and one day take vengeance. And so, he gathered his things and left the base behind, trying to figure out what to do next.
Over the next month, Adrian drifted here and there, never staying in one place for very long. He would walk for hours on end, far away from any major settlements. When the occasional traveler would happen to pass him by, he'd kill them, partly out of necessity, partly out of rage. To Adrian, it didn't matter anymore. The two were one in the same.
It was after one such slaughter that Adrian began to think to himself where it is he would go, as sooner or later someone would come looking for the "black armored devil" who kept murdering travelers. While he welcomed the chance to kill more Brotherhood soldiers, he knew he couldn’t win by himself. He thought of his parents at the Outpost. Surely they survived, right? The Outpost was so remote, no one would ever attack it. He could go home. But could he make it by himself?
It was then his suit picked up a frequency, an Enclave frequency no less, advising anyone listening to go to Mt. Weather. A wicked grin coming across his face, Adrian Rockwell had found his new path.
2nd Lt. William Paterson - Vault Ninja
Name: William “Will” Paterson
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Age: 34
Physical Appearance: Will has sandy brown hair and a clean shaven face with green eyes. He’s around average height with multiple scars and such on his body and face, several from combat but most from a Vertibird crash.
Rank: 2nd Lieutenant
Personality: Will’s once bright and shined patriotism has been shattered by the fall and destruction of everything he held dear. He sees wastelanders as the scum of the Earth, a convenient scapegoat for all of his troubles. What little emotion he was left he drowns in whiskey.
Possessions: A pair of Enclave standard issue officer’s boots scuffed and un-polished. Pre-War slacks held together with hand sewn patches and an officer’s jacket stripped of all insignia. Around his neck he wears the dog tags of several fallen comrades in addition to his own. For weapons he has a Gauss Rifle and 10mm pistol, both low on ammo.
A brown canvas satchel holding a meager amount of food rations and various Enclave paraphernalia; mostly insignias and such stripped off his uniform. In addition he carries a small transistor-type emergency radio taken from the crashed vertibird.
Background: Will was born in one of the outposts near Chicago but remembers almost nothing of it, his parents traveled a lot during his early years, they were advance scouts of a kind. His father was your typical soldier and his mother worked communications, they traveled around the East Coast with normally around 5 other people, surveying important locations and setting up basic communications work. Folks back at command would pick a handful of locations from old files; military bases, communication and transportation networks, etc. It was his parents job to try and get any useful assets operational or at least store them away until they were needed.
He had learned to shoot at a young age, in the locations they visited necessity dictated everyone to be armed, even if you just a 12 year old with a 9mm pistol. Once he was old enough he would got on patrols with his father and some of the other soldiers during the day and at night his mother would tell him stories about his ancestors; she had all these old photo albums saved from the Oil Rig and would show him the old Polaroid pictures taken of his great grandfather during his time in the Senate. He would marvel over the old black and white photographs showing what life was like hundreds of years ago and his mother would tell him about the work they were doing every day, working to rebuild the past.
Will embraced the Enclave mission whole heartedly and joined the army as a sniper when he was eighteen. He got stationed in one of the outposts in the Midwest, almost as boring an assignment as they come; all they ever did was run drills, the occasional bandit or two was the most combat he ever saw for two years. Then came the move to Raven Rock, it was a dream come true. Here he was on the front lines, finally working towards something instead of treading water back in Chicago.
All that was soon broken as the Enclave lost Raven Rock then suffered another crushing defeat at Adams. As the Brotherhood turned Bradley Hercules against them and the rockets crashed into the crawler all he represented seemed to die. As he checked the charge on his gauss rifle he readied himself; he was to die on the battlefield with honor. Will fired off shot after shot, each one striking mark and sending a blue power armored soldier falling to the ground. His helmet lay discarded by his feet and his face was twisted into a sinister grin, he delighted in the carnage, in seeing his enemies fall to the ground, their attempts at survival useless.
As the microfusion cells begin to give out charge he was snapped out of it by the sound of rotors close by, he dodged the lasers and bullets and sprinted across the tarmac, reaching the waiting Vertibird just before it prepared to take off. Their flight time was short lived however, as they flew off over Adams an arc from a tesla cannon hit the left side and they went down over the perimeter fence. Will was the only survivor of the crash, as he removed his scorched power armor and donned the officer’s uniform of a slain compatriot he knew things would never be the same again.
Sgt. Major Stevens - Magus the Red
Name: Thaddeus H. Stevens
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Age: 52
Physical Appearance: Clean Cut Grey Hair. Sunken and tired brown eyes. A gaunt figure these days, holding together an entire outpost has taken his toll on him. Stands at 6ft 3inches tall exactly. Leaner than average, but not as muscled as he once was.
Rank: Sergeant Major of the Army
Personality: His position has required him to be distanced from both Officers, NCO's and Enlisted, as such his long service in this position has meant that this distance has become part of him. A source of strength, he is like iron, brittle, but unbending. A quiet patriot, he won't tolerate insubordination, but he isn't consciously loud of his own patriotism, his patriotism has become muted inwardly with the fall of Adams Air Force Base, but outwardly, he is the epitome of a Patriot, able to quote the Constitution, the Amendments and Declaration of Independence word for word.
As part of the Baritone section in the Army Choir, or at least he was, he likes to sing hymns when in doubt, or in battle, his favorite being the Battle Hymn of the Republic, though he likes to strike up with The Girl I left behind, The stars and stripes forever or Yankee Doodle every now and then. His absolute favourite however, is Shenandoah. Which he saves for special occasions.
However he can be warm, and when he is, is a father figure to his men. Having seen his father perish in the explosion, but their last words to him being of disapproval due to a failure in a boxing match, he harbours large amounts of Self-Doubt over his ability to command and in himself in general.
His opinion on Wastelanders is, strangely, one of ambivalence. He dislikes them, but at the same time he's open to some collaboration when neccessary.
Possessions: Gauss Rifle, Bowie Knife, Hellfire Armour, His Army Service Uniform and a Plasma Defender.
Background: Born in 2225 on the Rig, Thaddeus Stevens spent his formative years during the Height of the Enclave's power. His father was harsh, cold and distant, his mother having died in Childbirth. One of the few to escape the Rig, his father perishing, the experience left it's mark, ingraining a sense of self-doubt over his abilities which held him back from becoming an Officer. He did however, qualify and chose to join the Rangers.
His first taste of Combat being Navarro, Stevens fought bravely, holding a position by himself in brutal close quarters combat. A gauss shot however tore off his right forearm leading to him being airlifted out to Raven Rock. Once there, he was gifted a new Bionic arm and a promotion to Staff Sergeant. From there after a few more exemplary singular combat actions, he was finally made Sergeant Major of the Army due to his constant refusal of promotions to a Commissioned Officer Rank.
With the arrival of the Enclave-Brotherhood War, Thaddeus led a few small missions personally before being recalled to Raven Rock and then posted to Mount Weather to oversee the resurrection of the facility in anticipation of Victory. Landing with a small squad, Thaddeus secured the facility and awaited further orders. None came. Waiting for weeks, Thaddeus recieved word of the fall of Adams Air Force Base from a Radio Transmission. The announcement shocked him to the core, leading to a depressive bout, in which he struggled to hold together his unit, but finally has managed to snap out of his stupor and take the steps needed to re-unite the scattered remnants of the Enclave.
CWO Sebastian Brant - Fisheye98
Name: Sebastian Brant
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Race: Caucasian
Physical Appearance: A relatively standard looking man, Sebastian Brant stands at a slightly above-average height and possesses a slim build, which is accompanied by rather pale skin. Like most Enclave soldiers, Sebastian's body is in perfect shape, and the man exercises religiously. While not a matter of appearance, the Chief Warrant Officer is plagued with a rather serious, racking cough which he earned after having his chest plate dented in during a training mishap with a deathclaw. Besides that, the man has no other serious injuries. As far as facial features are concerned, Sebastian has a long, thin nose, high brows, and an angular jaw. His eyes are a rather standard light brown, while his wide mouth is almost always twisted into a sly smile. Atop all of this, the man sports a shock of military-cut red hair.
Rank: Chief Warrant Officer (CW2)
Personality: Almost alarmingly cheerful in most situations, Sebastian is somewhat of an oddity amongst his peers. Usually seen with a wide, jocular smile of sorts, the man is certainly not the grim and dry individual one thinks of when they try to conjure up an image of an Enclave soldier. In general, Sebastian is a relatively friendly person, though he has little patience for failure from either his subordinates or his peers. Strict in his own way, Sebastian commands respect from the men and beasts under him and has no aversion to dishing out punishment where it is due. Indeed, despite his seemingly personable attitude, Sebastian has performed a number of morally questionable acts during his time in the military, and regrets none of them in the slightest. Unlike a few of his more disturbed peers, however, Sebastian finds no particular interest in committing acts of brutality, like some sort of sadist. Instead, he chooses not to let the consequences of his duty get to him, remaining unflappable and light-hearted no matter the situation. Due to his possession of this particular attitude, Sebastian and his unit have been assigned to a number of questionable acts in the past, such as the tracking down and execution or retrieval of Enclave runaways. Even now, after the destruction of his home and the deaths of his peers and friends, Sebastian remains unbroken for the most part.
In regards to his interactions with others, Sebastian is a somewhat extroverted individual. The man revels in the camaraderie that the military has to offer, and tries to get along with most others. Of course, there are quite a few more orthodox minds within the Enclave who find Sebastian's temperament to be somewhat distasteful due to his apparent lack of seriousness. Like most other Enclave personnel, Sebastian has a serious lack of respect for those individuals outside of the fold, viewing them as less than human. It should be noted, however, that this disregard does not translate into malice, and that Sebastian is actually fascinated by Mainlander culture. Similarly, the man has had a fascination with wild beasts ever since he was a young child, and one cannot help but equate the two fascinations to one-another.
Possessions: Sebastian possesses a full suit of Advanced Power Armor, along with a change of standard issue fatigues. As far as weapons are concerned, he has a AER9 Laser Rifle and AER7 Laser Pistol, along with a pair of fragmentation grenades. Aside from this, he carries a dwindling supply of rations, a pair of binoculars, a survival knife, and a map and compass. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, he constantly wears a set of deathclaw handling headgear, which allows him to direct his deathclaw, Hannibal (I may edit in a description of Hannibal, or I may simply describe him more IC).
Background: Born in the Chicgo Outpost to two civilian parents, Sebastian Brant's childhood was certainly nothing special as far as Enclave children are concerned. His father, one of the only qualified educators on base, was a rather strict man, though never abusive. Meanwhile, Sebastian's mother, a greenhouse farmer, was a rather eccentric individual, and was always filled with an intense sort of energy. With three older sisters and no younger siblings, Sebastian was the baby of the family, and was also the first to be born east of Navarro. Oftentimes lauded by his family, both because he was the youngest sibling and because he was the only son (in his father's case), Sebastian had a wonderful childhood, all things considered. The future soldier was an inquisitive youth, possessing a hunger of knowledge that was out of place in children his age. Without a doubt, the boy was a dreamer, with his mind traveling far beyond the walls of his small compound home. He was completely enthralled with history, and his father was happy to regale him with tales of pre-war America, giving his son some of the lessons he taught his pupils. Meanwhile, the boy's mother was fond of reading outlandish tales and pre-war fantasy to her son, though Sebastian's father was not thrilled with this practice. The explorative child yearned to see the world outside of the compound, and swore to himself early on that he would try to experience the wild world first hand.
Despite the fact that his father was a teacher, Sebastian was only an average student, all things considered. The boy seemed to be occupied with daydreams rather than schoolwork. Quite social, the boy had a polite, up-beat personality which would stay with him for the rest of his life, even through the trials of war. Even though pets were prohibited at the Chicago Outpost due to the amount of rations they consumed, Sebastian developed a fascination with animals early on in life. At night, he would sneak off with a pair of binoculars to peer at passing wildlife, and during the day he would watch the birds in the sky longingly. As Sebastian matured into a teenager, he started steering himself towards a career path in zoology or biology, but the demand for these positions were low and the teenager's grades were not quite good enough. Crestfallen, Sebastian moped about uncharacteristically for a while as his friends and peers went their separate ways to pursue their own careers. Faced with a host of relatively undesirable career paths, the young man eventually decided to enlist in the military. This way, he figured, he would get the opportunity to see a bit of the outside world and defend the last remaining remnants of America.
Sebastian quickly settled into military life, enjoying the camaraderie and sense of direction. He stayed in Chicago for his training, remaining close to his family and friends, some of whom had actually enlisted after graduation as well. The man developed into a rather respectable soldier, and his sense of patriotism only grew as he proceeded in his training. When Sebastian finally completed his training, he was assigned to patrol duty in the Chicago area. Finally, he was able to experience life outside of the base, and while his expectations were not completely met, he still enjoyed the experience immensely. For a time, life was simple for Sebastian, and he contently settled into a routine. Eventually, Sebastian was transferred to Washington D.C. area, where more manpower was sorely needed as some sort of operation was starting to be planned for the distant future. At Adams Air Force Base, Sebastian was assigned similar patrol duties, and eventually faded into the background as an average soldier. He enjoyed life on the Air Base, and though he missed his family, he found new friends out east. Slowly, the man climbed the ranks as many soldiers tend to do, until eventually a day came that would rapidly accelerate his career.
At the Raven Rock bio-lab, a new project had been activated, the Deathclaw Domestication Initiative. Already, headway had been made with advanced two-way domestication units. The ultimate goal of the project was to allow a human controller to control the behavior of a target deathclaw or, in the future, other wild animal. With the technology in working order, the scientists assigned to the project thought it was time for an experiment with a live human and deathclaw. Sebastian seemed to be a good candidate, due to his unwavering loyalty and his studies in the field of biology when he was younger. Sebastian was truly thrilled with the opportunity, and readily served as one of the first test subjects for the program. He thoroughly enjoyed the lab experience, getting to see the inner workings of what had been his dream job just a few years ago. In addition, the deathclaws themselves were a point of particular interest for Sebastian, and the soldier was fascinated by their primal strength. These creatures were not tamed beasts, like dogs, being more akin to birds of prey in temperament. Eventually, he developed a relationship of mutual respect with the deathclaws he worked with, with the animals not truly liking him, but instead respecting his authority.
After months of testing and thorough training, four new deathclaw-focussed units were created, with the intention of attaching said units to larger forces. After seeing how much he excelled in his training with the animals, Sebastian Brant was promoted to the position of Chief Warrant Officer and placed in charge of one of these aforementioned units. Fauna Detail Beta became his new unit, and Sebastian settled into a place of uneasy command over it. While he had little experience commanding forces, he was one of the only logical candidates for the new position. After the population of Fauna Detail Beta, Sebastian and the rest of his unit were assigned to the larger force guarding Adams Air Force Base, where Sebastian advised the force's commander about the use of the newly domesticated deathclaws and helped patrol the perimeter. Eventually, Sebastian adjusted to his new position and became relatively well-known on base for his vibrant personality, which stood in stark contrast to the monstrous beasts he was charged with handling. After a time, however, it became apparent that Fauna Detail Beta could be used for duties other than patrolling.
More and more frequently, Enclave personnel with knowledge of sensitive information were attempting to escape into the wasteland, with the majority of them trying to defect to either the Brotherhood or the Commonwealth. With few ways to reliably hunt down and either capture or eliminate these defectors, Fauna Detail Beta was assigned the task of doing so. Within months, the man became somewhat infamous on base. His work was grim, tracking down and killing Enclave personnel with wild, mutated beast who tore their victims limb from limbs. The dark work did little to dampen his spirits, however, and his modest legend grew among the scientific community, who were his most frequent victims.
He grew fond of the hunt, though he did not revel in the killing itself, and the prestige of the assignment helped swell his confidence. When the Enclave-Brotherhood War finally broke out, the Chief Warrant Officer's assignments became more varied, and Fauna Detil Beta was frequently assigned and reassigned to various combat units. For the last couple of weeks of the War, however, Fauna Detail Beta was detached from all other units and sent to eliminate an escaping scientist with in-depth information on Hellfire Power Armor. So far, mission has been going poorly to say the least, and the war has apparently been lost as well.
Sgt. JR "Bobs" Dobbs Jr. - Tiberius 67
Name: J.R. “Bob” Dobbs, Jr.
Gender: M
Race: Human Caucasian
Age: 32
Physical Appearance: A wiry, handsome man with brown hair and brown eyes. Before the fall of the Enclave, people familiar
with pre-war advertising posters scattered around the Wasteland noted that Dobbs strongly resembles the male models chosen
to depict the typical American male. This had been brought to his attention so many times he had taken to carrying around
a pipe and occasionally smoking it or holding it in his teeth. Wears his Red Airborne Beret and Authority glasses whenever
he can.
Rank: Sergeant 1/c
Personality: A dutiful solder, but has a dry sense of humor that occasionally gets him into trouble. He is friendly and
loyal to his comrades, but regarded Wastelanders with complete indifference. His recent experiences have hardened his
opinion of Wastelanders and he assumes they are degenerate savages unless proven otherwise.
Possessions: Hellfire Armor (considerable battle damage, needs maintenence), AER-7 Laser Rifle, Type 95-1 Assault Rifle,
maroon beret, pair of Authority glasses. Will switch to a Plasma rifle or Gauss Rifle at earliest opportunity.
Background: Born in 2245 in ‘Site R’ (Raven Rock), shortly after the survivors of Station ENCLAVE arrived in the Capital
Wasteland. Drafted at 16, Dobbs was sent to Adams AFB for training. Induction testing showed marked ability for using
explosives and small arms so he was assigned to a Combat Engineer Company.
During his Combat Engineer training at Adams AFB, an additional talent emerged.
The Armorers at the Adams AFB armory noted anomalies in their inventory of explosives. At the same time, Base security had
reported several incidents where Wastelanders, mostly Raiders but a few scavengers as well, had been found inside and near
the base perimeter, killed with a knife or by ingeniously placed explosive booby traps. A investigation was launched, and
eventually Private Dobbs was pulled out of training class and marched to the Base Commander’s office. Once there, he was
confronted with Eyebot footage of him sneaking out of his barracks in the dead of night, lying in wait by an until then
unknown flaw in the security fence where he waited until a group of three Raiders entered the base. He then tracked down
and killed two Raiders with a booby-trapped Jet inhaler he planted where they would find it and then the third with a
knife. When asked why, he answered “It was good practice.”
His Company Commander recommended that he be Court-Martialled, but that was overruled by the Base Commander. After a 90
day stint in Solitary for not reporting the security breach he was reassigned to the Fifth Verti-Assault Company (Rangers)
where after passing Airborne training with honors he was trained in Special Ops as a Infiltration Specialist. Finding the
regimen more to his liking, Dobbs has been a model soldier ever since. A veteran of countless raids and Black Ops against
Raiders, various groups of Wastelanders, and the Brotherhood, he was eager to get started reclaiming America from the
unambitious and dirty Trespassers who currently are squatting on it. But that was not to be.
Late in the Brotherhood War, the Vertibird he was flying in was shot down by a Tesla Cannon as it was approaching the last
known position of a missing Eyebot. Jumping out of the plummeting and burning aircraft, he fell into a old barn, which
broke his fall enough for him to be saved by his armor, but was knocked unconscious and injured. Dobbs was not found by
the unknown assailant (probably the Brotherhood, though it could have been the Lone Wanderer himself), but the slaver
party that had been sheltering inside the barn couldn't help but notice him. Slavers are a practical sort, and know a
business opportunity when they see one so three days later, Dobbs woke to find himself, sans armor, tied to a bed in
Cutter's clinic in Paradise Falls. After he healed from his serious, but not life threatening, injuries...which took
several weeks...the erstwhile Kingpin of the Paradise Falls slavers, Euology Jones, began searching for a buyer. The
Outcasts did not respond to his offer, but Talon Company did send a representative who duly purchased both Dobbs and his
Armor for a considerable sum of caps and promises of future services rendered. As Jabsco was eager to acquire a power-
armored trained recruit...he was confident that Talon Company's time tested and brutal training regimen would turn even a
Enclave fanatic's loyalty towards Talon Company, his representative quickly entered a bid higher than the Pitt
representative was authjorized to pay for a slave.
While the Outcasts did not respond to Eulogy's offer, it wasn't due to lack of interest...it was because Protector Casdin
did not plan on paying for him. Shadowing the Talon Company party as they headed back to Fort Bannister with their new
"recruit", they struck when the first opportunity arose. Finding themselves in severe trouble, the Talon Company leader
took the desperate measure of releasing Dobbs and arming him to help them fight off the Outcast ambush. Although his suit
radio was inoperative, the IFF transponder still worked and Dobbs turned it on...hoping against hope his comrades would
pick up the signal before his temporary "allies" were wiped out and he was overrun. Fortunately, his luck held and rescue
did come....a motley group made up of the survivors of half a dozen outposts and Genetic Compliance checkpoints...and the
Outcasts were massacred. They filled Dobbs in on the events of the past few weeks...the fall of Raven Rock then Adams
AFB...and explained that they had received orders to head for Rally Point Destiny, the old FEMA Bunker at Mt Weather. His
morale improved by the presence of fellow Americans for the first time in weeks, he fell in with them to make the long
slog West towards their new home.
CWO Jennifer Ava Vega - Bosmight342
Name: Jennifer Ava Vega
Gender: Female
Age: 39
Race: Human (Mixed)
http://i.imgur.com/I2uAzNu.jpg: Vega stands 5 ft. 4 and slim fit to maintain a healthy body and mind in the Enclave. Her mixed appearance is best described as Euro-Asian as her facial appearance bores a mix of their qualities.
Rank: Doctor in Engineering and Biology. Chief Warrant Officer (CWO).
Personality: Vega is a scientist, an introvert. She spends time thinking about the many possibilities in advancing Enclave research development whether her hypotheses and idea are plausible or not and is a mad scientist in the eyes of her colleagues in the Biology and Engineering department. Yet when you have Doctor in Engineering and Biology, a high streak of ego arrives and is haughty in her knowledge in genetics and engineering. She is caring to her fellow scientist despite the ego, viewing all scientists whether they are experienced old timers or new junior scientists as one large community with one passion, science and their objective to spearhead the restoration of America.
Possessions: APA Mk 2, Wattz 2000 laser rifle, Wattz 1000 Laser Pistol, Needler Pistol, Combat Knife, and large amounts of Xander root and Broc flower, research on Xander Root/Broc Flower, some holotapes on Engineering/Biological research, and a bag full of personal possessions.
Background: Jennifer was born in the underground bunker under Groom Lake of X-51 (Area 51) on 2239 and is of mixed heritage due intermarriage within the Enclave. After the destruction of the Oil Rig, she continued to live in X-51 until all contact was lost with Navarro, evacuating X-51 on 2250 when she was eleven under presidential orders. She relocated with her family to Raven Rock and showed aptitude in Science and Engineering when she joined the Enclave armed forces at the age of 18.
During her general training as a Medic (68W) she was also interested in working as a scientist and picked specifically Engineering as she had a specific interest in designing and maintaining Enclave equipment and Biology specifically in Genetic engineering. After completing her basic training she was first stationed in Adams as a junior researcher and Medic. She found herself on some days working as a researcher in Adams and other times going on patrols in the East Coast while continuing her education in Engineering and Genetic Engineering. At Adams she studied the anatomy of captured organisms, studying their genetics for applied knowledge to learn more about how humans and creatures have changed in the wastes since the Great War benefiting her immensely.
Vega’s reputation slowly built up as she became known in the scientific community as an “intelligent, bright, and talented” researcher that did her part as a Medic in the East Coast, saving soldiers’ lives in the field. Her CO and leader of the scientific community recommended her for more daunting missions.
She was transferred to the “reactivated” X-51 on 2270 for a torch & burn operation. She was assigned on a mission to S.A.D in the retrieval of highly important assets as the team’s Medic and scientific/technical advisor. She got a view post-apocalyptic life when she passed through the "Biggest Little City in the World” disguised as a tourist. When she was in it, Vega learned about the learned about the healing properties of Xander root and Broc flower gaining several of the plants at the outskirts of New Reno, testing its healing properties on one of her comrades getting a “healing effect and feeling of sleepiness.”
After nearly dying at S.A.D, X-51 was deactivated once more. Vega returned to Adams on 2270 promoted to A Warrant Officer. She brought back several plants of Xander root and Broc Flower to show to the scientific community who were impressed by her discovery and worked in the Biology department researching it to learn more about it, while growing thousands of them in Hydroponics. Her discovery and seven year research with the Biology department earned them entire commendations from the Enclave for helping allow the Enclave to finally mass produce Stimpaks. She was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer.
On 2277 Vega proposed the hypotheses of altering the human genetic code with the use of the FEV to allow Psionic abilities altering which was quickly shut down by her superiors who considered it “costly” to delve into their current state. Instead she got backing from R&D to reinforce the current Enclave scientist’s suit to provide greater protection for field scientists in the wastes. Though while trying to find a way to reinforce the Enclave scientists suit she came up with the idea of creating scientific power armor for scientists. It did not take long for Vega to draw up a concept design of it showing integrated scientific instruments into the armor and an entirely new variant of power armor in appearance/form. Vega tried to press the idea for R&D to the heads of scientific community at Adams citing it as “least important.”
When Raven Rock was destroyed she was one of the very few scientists who excelled in Engineering and Biology. As such, she was later assigned as the head Engineer of the Hellfire Armor project. Vega was important in integrating Duraframe material into Hellfire. She was proud to create the most durable armor for the Enclave and was sure that Hellfire would turn the tide of war against the Brotherhood.
Yet her expected outlook for the Enclave to destroy the Brotherhood was not realized. Adams was under attack and as the enemy moved closer to the Mobile Crawler, Vega began downloading Enclave research specifically on Biology and Engineering as much as possible. As the enemy closed in she suited on her dusty APA MK 2, packed her backpack large amounts of Xander root and brock flower, and made an evacuation with several of her colleagues from the on the last vertibird in Adams.
Vega knew that the Enclave in the East was defeated but she held onto the belief of America surviving for they were still Enclave installations East of the Appalachians. Yet her pilot was unable to make the trip due to low fuel on the vertibird during her flight and made an emergency landing near SatCom array NW-07c.
For a month Vega, her team, the Vertibird pilot and had been holed up in SatCom array NW-07c. Her team including the pilots of the Vertibird viewed a trek to East was not worth it and some began pondering the thought of integrating into the Capital wasteland, abandoning the Enclave. Yet as days went by a transmission was fully heard within the building calling for all surviving members of the Enclave to link up at Mount Weather.
With nothing left to lose, Vega and her comrades began to travel to Mount Weather.
Private Brian Pierce(Sigma Squad) - Casey
Name: Brian Pierce
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasion
Age: 27
http://cdn-static.denofgeek.com/sites/denofgeek/files/styles/article_main_half/public/1/54//jake_mcdorman_sniper.jpg?itok=jKadNWlf
Rank: Enclave Special Forces. Sigma.
Personality: Brian while loyal to the Enclave had always shown a level of disobediance when dealing with the Enclave authority. While he believed in the idea of preserving America, he didnt always believe in the methods that the Enclave used. However, despite this level of disobediance he was still admitted into a sniper training regime due to his natural ability to hit his mark with a sniper.
Possessions: Brian wears the standard Enclave issued Advanced Power Armor Mk 2, he is also armed with an Anti-Material rifle and Laser Pistol.
Background: Brian was born into the Enclave, his parents were both renown in their line of duty. His mother was a Enclave scientist, known for helping create and establish the prototype model for the armor deemed 'hellfire', while his father was a well known officer whom lead his own team on a vast amount of successful missions. This of course lead to pressure being placed on Brian to surpass and live up to his parents expectations and the people around him.
However, when his parents were killed in Navarro, Brian began to question the status of the Enclave and the Enclaves legitimacy as a whole. Despite his questioning, he still followed the orders of his superiors and evacuated along with others to the east in order to regain stability at Raven Rock. At this point, Brian applied to join a sniper training regime in which he surpassed all the others and rose to the top of his class. When the Enclave officials finally deemed themselves ready to resurface, Brian was a part of the main scouting squads. He was one of the soldiers to report the jefferson memorials purifier presence back to Raven Rock. However, when the enclave waged a full on assault on the memorial, he once again began to question the Enclaves methods of trying to preserve America. At this point, Brian began acting up, not taking shots on Wastelanders when ordered to, and events along those lines. However upon the destruction of Raven Rock, he was promoted to Sigma Squad due to his exceptional capabilities despite his past actions, in order to guard the Adams facility. However, his role was different. He was required to remain hidden, miles away from the facility in order to defend the base from afar at all costs.
Maximilian Grant - Wampower99
Name: Maximilian Grant (or just max for short, if you're cool with him)
Gender: male
Race: Caucasian, part French
Physical Appearance: about average height, and kind of lanky. He has curly black hair, a thin beard, and pasty skin with a hint of tan from some of the occasional exposure to the wasteland sun. His face is mostly unscarred, but there are a few small burns here and there from working with plasma and laser.
Rank: Field Scientist, but really his job extended much farther than that because of the general shortage of personnel. He works with some field engineering of Enclave weapons, tech, and power armor. He also has decent weapons and medicine skills, as he needed to be taught when reports came in of attacks on Enclave Research camps. In terms of science, he wrote some of the Enclave research terminals that can be found around the wasteland.
Personality: At first glance, he seems like mostly a smart ass and would be funny guy, but he's also very passionate about his career. He loves studying the wasteland and helping out the soldiers of America. Over the course of his time in the capital wasteland, he realized not all of the wastelanders were as bad as the enclave made them out to be. While his interest in Enclave politics is mostly casual, he doesn't like the idea of destroying all mutated life. To him, it would be the death of an ecosystem("despite its overall horrificness, it still deserves a life right?"), and sure it would kill a lot of bad wastelanders, but it would also kill a lot of not so bad wastelanders.
So he has more loyalty to Autumn than Eden.
Possessions: He has an Enclave scientist suit, reinforced with leather and metal, some common wasteland made clothes for different times, some pulse grenades, and his trusty plasma pistol. He's made a few modifications to it to overall upgrade it's range, damage, and reliability. A Railway Rifle(tell me if it's op) also is part of the mix. He found the schematics while he was scavenging.
He also has a box of cells for his pistol, some rails for his rifle, some tools for tech, and some miscellaneous medicine and food. Something else he has in his stuff is parts of a secret enclave device... But you'll know anyway: an automatic laser pistol he designed in and out of Raven Rock with another biologist(if you wanted to work together on the automatic laser pistol). The project was scrapped, like so many others, for hellfire.
Background: Background: Max's French and European family was extensively connected to American business with various intermarriages and business contacts. They were intertwined in the South's agriculture, especially in Louisiana. When the call rang out to retreat the oil rig, those family groups connected to older dynasties summoned were able to get on board. They tried to mostly tried to keep to themselves on board and managed to sustain their race, and were somewhat successful. When the oil tanker was approaching, His family quickly got on a vertibird when they realized what was happening, despite their support for the Enclave's goals. Most of the family ended up at a remote outpost, where Max would be born. His father was one of the young men of family, and his mother was actually a corporal in the army. His dad was scientist, and helped design eyebots and other robots for the soon to be Capital Wasteland venture. The family resisted their marriage, but his father's position helped get him to an outpost in Virginia. As a sign of casting this off, his father took his mother's last name.
He grew up happily, and the outpost was an active place. His parents were patriotic, but they also warned him against being overly obedient to the leaders, and some of the darker ideals of the Enclave. His mother was frequently gone fighting, but his father showed him about engineering and science. He took after this pretty strongly, and when his mother came back she told him about being a soldier and the wasteland. When he was old enough he scored a position as a field research scientist, and headed to the Capital Wasteland.
There he studied the biology of the creatures in the wasteland and worked on tech and energy weapons in various field research sites. He was mostly detached from the conflict going on between the Enclave and the BoS, but he heard about their victories and the purifier. He wasn't sure it was right, but he had no choice but to continue on. Finally once he had enough experience, he was assigned to the Crater Camp. Most of what could have been found there was already found, which were some strange old power cells in a crashed truck. But he felt like he could maybe find more, so he scoured the area looking.
He was working in the crater the day that everything fell apart. He was on his knees digging around towards the edge of the crater, when he saw laser fire in the camp, and ducked. He crawled over to see what was happening. The regular soldier and the officer were dead, scorched and ripped apart by laser. The Hellfire troop was putting up quite a fight, setting fire to the encircling brotherhood troops, but there were too many. The lasers coating him finally burned through his armor, and he fell. It looked like there were 3 brotherhood troops after all, but he knew he needed to act fast. He acted like he was running scared, so they didn't shoot. But he managed to grab his pulse grenades, and his aim was true. The brotherhood troops fell over as their armor locked up, and he grabbed his stuff and ran. But he heard a groan. He quickly glanced over. The Hellfire troop was managing to stay alive and conscious. Damn, he thought, those guys are tough. He picked him, the mechanisms in his leg armor doing most of the work. They slowly jogged out of the camp, but as they ran he heard the news spit out of the radio: "Adams Air force Base taken... Enclave has lost presence in Capital Wast-...."
He walked for a while, but eventually ended up in an auto garage of some kind. He lied low for a while, upset and not sure what to do. He worked on his blasters more, seeing if there was anyway he could buff them. It would take some parts to do it, and he wasn't even sure he could find anything useful for that. As he got more aquatinted with the garage, he noticed a button on the wall. He found underneath the bunker a vault with strange simulation pods and a big computer. He took as much data as he could from it into a band of holo tapes, and marked the location. He scoured the location for more resources, and tinkered with some supplies he found. He managed to design some interesting devices, and even create a railway rifle to defend himself with.
He masked his face and started making a business of repairing energy weapons people began to come up with after the Enclave was gone, running his little shop out of the garage. The Hellfire troop was getting better, and he managed to make some armor for him, even though he was still mostly in bed. Things were going alright, but then his beat up Enclave radio began to crackle. It suddenly burst out a message summoning all Enclave personnel to Mount Weather.
He thought of his parents, his nation, and his home. He knew what he should do.
Major Alan James Sutler - The Enclave
Name: Alan James Sutler
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Date of Birth: 15/11/2222
Physical Appearance: Slim, athletic build now tempered and withered through age and a lack of demanding physical activity. Long, gaunt features. Short, tidy black hair and moustache covering upper-lip; dark black heavily streaked with grey.
Rank: Major
Personality: Alan Sutler is the embodiment of the old Enclave idealism from the days of the Oil Rig; since the death of his family, Sutler's entire identity has been invested in the Enclave. As a person however, Sutler's personality has been damaged since the Oil Rig. Sutler's actions have been considered extreme for even the Enclave. Sutler has been known to take derisive pleasure over the destruction of his enemies.
Possessions: Black, US Army Class A uniform (black uniform worn beneath Col Autumn's overcoat). US Army tan overcoat. PPK12 Gauss Pistol. Glock 86 Plasma Pistol. Ripper.
Background: Alan Sutler was born aboard the Enclave Oil Rig in 2222 to the Sutler family, an influential political dynasty aboard the Oil Rig and last decades of the Pre-War era. Sutler eschewed the political ambitions ventured by his mother and father and instead joined the US Army. After completing basic training he was posted into the Enclave Control Company due to the machinations of his father as the occupation of the ECC was entirely concerned with the security of the Enclave and did not involve mainland deployment.
On the day that the Oil Rig was destroyed in 2242, Corporal Sutler and his squad were at their post in the lower bowls of the Oil Rig, they assumed that they were guarding the recently docked PMZ Valdez for use as an evacuation vehicle in the wake of the Reactor Alarms sounding across the platform. With the release of a powerful toxic substance into the sealed atmosphere of the Oil Rig , which killed personnel without a controlled air-supply, radio-silenced fell upon the Oil Rig where Sutler and the squad continued to maintain their post until receiving further instructions. A Enclave soldier identifying himself as Private Smith informed them that the Secret Service agent, Frank Horrigan, was a traitor and responsible for the act. Corporal Sutler, Sergeant Granite and Private Autumn assisted Smith in the killing of Frank Horrigan who was guarding the entrance to the Valdez.
The squad left the Oil Rig aboard the Valdez but lost track of Smith within its labyrinthine structure. They were on-deck for the destruction of the Oil Rig which none of them had ever seen from the outside before. Passing into states of shock, the squad retreated into the tanker, only waking long after it had docked at San Francisco where they were informed by dock workers of a man in the same armour as them escorting a mixture of tribals and Vault Dwellers from the city. It was the realisation that they had aided the escape of the Chosen One that began the path to Sutler's psychopathy and the facts remain unknown to this day.
Sutler remained at Navarro when it was attacked by the NCR forces in 2245, shortly before the facility was to be shutdown and they escape. Sutler fought in the doomed engagement till its conclusion before finally retreating when the NCR lowered the American Flag from the central courtyard. He gradually made his way across the United States, rendezvousing with the Enclave hold-out garrison outside the city of Chicago who transported him back to Raven Rock. Though the loss of the remaining forces at Navarro was classified by the President, Sutler was rewarded for his tenacious services by being awarded the Medal of Honour. Sutler remained closely involved with the operation of the Enclave and was aware of the true nature of the President.
The homicidal fury within Sutler became greatly tempered by life in Raven Rock, especially after his marriage to Lucy Ann Cabot in 2251 and the birth of their son, Gordon Alan Sutler, in 2253. Over time however, his loyalty to the President and the nature by-which he came to assume the office; he saw his son's fanaticism turned away from the state and placed on the President. Sutler was a member of the senior staff at the Adams Air Force Base FOB during the Enclave's campaign in the Columbia Commonwealth and thus was not in Raven Rock upon its destruction. Sutler's family were killed in the facility along with Sutler's lifelong friend Captain Granite, making Sutler the only person alive who know about their actions in 2242. Sutler became part of the hastily formed "High Command" a council of remaining senior military officials until the loss of the base.
After the destruction of the base, Sutler left the Capital Wasteland, venturing north into the former state of New Hampshire. He found the old estate owned by the Sutler family before the war and spent a few days within it. He prepared an suicide upon an American Flag whilst wearing his full-dress uniform but was unable to complete the act. He realised that he hated the institution of America but loved the Enclave, that his loyalty had not been to the ancient American republic but to the Enclave that had evolved as a separate entity from it and how the blindness of his generation had led to them accepting Eden's rule in the first place, despite the difficulty of relocation, and thus their present fate.
He returned to the Capital Wasteland to find the remaining Enclave, to gather together and if not save the organisation at-least wreck havoc upon its enemies till death. He heard the signal and reported for duty.
Cpl. Matthew Church - ExtremeLegionary
Name: Matthew Church
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Age: 25
Physical Appearance: Matthew stands at 6'0" and weighs approximately 185lbs. He sports a shaved head and little facial hair, paired with his light blue eyes. There is a scar running vertically along the left side of his ribcage, which he gained from a firefight with raiders. Matthew's physique is fairly muscular, since he works out religiously.
Rank: Corporal
Personality: Matthew is a friendly character, and won't hesitate to strike up a conversation, since he lives by his idea of the more friends he has, the less likely he is to be stabbed in the back and left for dead. He does, however, see the his country as a superior nation, mostly because of the ideals drilled into him from his father, and is likely to antagonise those who do not. He also, like most of his counterparts, respects his superiors.
Possessions: Advanced power armour Mk II, plasma rifle, combat knife.
Background: Matthew Church was born to an Enclave soldier father and an mother whom he did not remember, only that his father told him that she was living in the settlement. His father, a member of the Enclave, and his squad were setting up an outpost in a small settlement not far from Adams AFB when his parents laid eyes on each other, and he was conceived. Matthew was eventually born, and he was healthy, unlike other children born in the wasteland. He was raised primarily by his father and his squadmates, so Matthew lived in a fairly militaristic fashion throughout his childhood.
His father drilled the mentality of loving his country and his fellow countrymen, even if it meant giving up his life to defend it and what it stood for. Matthew didn't play well with other children, and instead chose to listen to Enclave radio broadcasts and practising drills, determined one day to be like his father. And that's exactly what happened.
One he was of age, he joined up with the Enclave, and joined his father on patrols and other menial labour tasks that were required of him, emulating his parent as he did so. He got to the rank of Corporal, before the Brotherhood of Steel launched their final assault on the Enclave. Raven Rock had fallen, and the Brotherhood were on their way to Adams. Matthew's father received strict instructions to hold out against the Brotherhood onslaught until his last breath, and they did. The civilian personnel, along with Matthew's mother, were evacuated from the outpost and the soldiers lay in wait.
As the Brotherhood came over the horizon, Matthew felt the dread creeping upon him. He knew in the back of his head, judging by the far superior manpower of his foes, that they wouldn't last long. He felt he had to warn his father, but it was too late. The cry of war had been yelled and the battle had begun. Matthew and his father fought hard and long until they were the final two. The rest had been decimated. Matthew took cover beside his father, who had been wounded. Matthew attempted to provide medical help, but was no use, and eventually his father told him to run for his life. After little debate, Matthew's father blanked Matthew's pleas to let him help, and forced him to go while he provided covering fire with what little ammunition he had left.
And that was the last he saw of his father (or any other member of the Enclave, for that matter). He looked back as he went, watching his father trying to hold them off. The corpses of the Enclave soldiers who tried to defend in vain. The Brotherhood of Steel with no casualties, figuratively crushing an ant under their boot on their way to the nest of Adams AFB. Matthew swore revenge, and had been plotting ever since.
