Disc Authentification (Again)

Hi All,

Maybe someone could help me with this problem.

I bought Fallout 3 GOTY last year and still in my collection since usually i play one by one until finished before start another game.

Today i try to install the game, now since my PC do not have DVD-ROM (never really need one) I installed the game though LAN by mapping my laptop DVD-ROM.

Installation run smoothly for both disc but problem occur after that.

When i try to run the game, it keep asking for original DVD.

I try to look in the forum and failed to find others who have similar situation with me.

Does SecureROM can not detect original disc if we installed through LAN?

Any1 got solution so SecureROM can read from mapping drive that i create?

Note: I tried to install SecureROM tool, whatever that apps for, seem no use at all.

Regards,

Securom is going to look for the disk in the drive, regardless of whether or not your computer has a drive. Unfortunately, Securom really is not the smartest of tools.

To be honest, if you can be patient, Fallout 3 will pop up on the Steam sales at some point and you can get it and the DLCs at a super cheap price. Easy install, and you can redownload to another computer easily enough, mods work the same and best of all no messing with securom.

Otherwise, I'm not sure you''ll be able to get too much help getting around Securom due to forum rules regarding evading DRM.
