Issue with Weapons Mod Kit

WMK works fine for me with ordinary vanilla weapons, but if I try to modify uniques such as Perforator or Xuanlong Assault Rifle I get the message that my currently equipped weapon can't be modified. I am using FWE, but I'm also using the FOIP/WMK/FWE patches. Normally I'm using a Bashed Patch, so I thought it might be because I'm not using a Merged Patch, but switching to a Merged Patch doesn't help. When I check my mods in FO3Edit, everything seems as it should.

Anyone who has an idea what might cause it and how to fix it? I'm trying to make FWE patches for the unique add-ons for the awesome http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21245/?, but I can't even check how the patches work as I can't modify the weapons at all (and it's not caused by the patches as I have the same issue without them - and without the add-ons for WEP as well).

EDIT: "When I check my mods in FO3Edit, everything seems as it should." I have to take that back. The issue seems to be with FormID lists, which is a mess of conflicts.

I always thought that the FOIP patch creator thought the weapon mods were too OP for the Uniques in FWE and removed that option.
