tonight i used the ability to ask for help from the ncr while i was being attacked by a group of legion assassins, it was just me and ed - e, i chose ncr trooper and he decided to appear after we managed to kill all of the legion assassins (thanks ncr)!!

has anyone else used the ncr when your outnumbered in a battle??

I tried it once just to see what would happen, with the same results. By the time he showed up, the Legion assassins had been dealt with. So all in all a pretty useless feature as far as I'm concerned.
