MOO + MMR?

Post » Fri May 29, 2015 5:22 am

Never tried this magic overhaul... mighty magic reborn. How compatible is it with Maskar oblivion overhaul? I need to change or turn off anything?

Also, if not compatible, ideas to replace this or that? Just not FCOM parts or LAME.... not this time.

Tnx in advance

I use MOO but not MMR. However, I just read the description of MMR and I don't foresee any issues with MMO.

I use Supreme Magicka with MOO with no issues (there are some special instructions for Supreme Magicka in the MOO readme, but are easy to follow).

To the extent any feature of MOO was conflicting with MMR, you could just turn off the MOO feature in the MOO ini, but I doubt there will be much conflict here. MOO is pretty much compatible with everything.

Played a bit with MOO... and i know htat it says "compatible" with everything. But since SM need some change, figured would be wise to ask forum experts (Half people on forum is a mod maker/tes4edit/construction set expert :D ) if something similar had to be done with MMR. Tnx.

The reason SM needs a change is because of the way SM's scripting for summons was written and how that interacted with MOO's region specific summons (where you got things like Argonian zombies and skeleton summons if you cast the spell near Black Marsh). It was a pretty unique issue and specific to SM, so I doubt you would have the same issue with MRR. It is also easy to fix by making a minor edit to SM's scripts. Maskar provides instructions for how to do this. Or you can just disable the region specific summons in the MOO ini.

I was actually the one who first discovered the MOO/SM issue and I only discovered it after playing with both mods for a few weeks. Once I discovered the problem and pointed it out to Maskar, he was very quick to come up with a solution, and I have not had any issues since.

I doubt you would run into issues like that with MRR, but unless someone has run these together you won't know for sure until you try.
