I'm sure you've all heard about the Skywind project and everything, but that's almost all I hear about. I get upset when I read youtube comments of people who are new to morrowind and get discouraged of playing it because a bunch of people reply by saying something like "don't play morrowind just wait for skywind" I see that all the time. I like morrowind I don't think it needs to be "remade" in a "better" engine. Skywind won't have tamriel rebuilt, or any of the other great morrowind mods out there. So my main question is are a bunch of people really just going to leave morrowind when skywind is finished?

I'm sure I will take a look at the project. But I will never leave Morrowind.

I also highly doubt many of the people playing/modding Morrowind now will permanently switch to Skywind. Most of the people still involved with MW are so just because they didn't like the route Bethesda took with Oblivion/Skyrim. If anything I've seen as much or more excitement around OpenMW compared to Skywind.

Projects that use assets from other games aren't up for discussion on the forum.
If you want to talk about a remake/remaster of Morrowind in general, there are threads all over the forum that repeatedly beat that dead horse


And remember... Millions of people played Skyrim because it was a good game, not because they know anything about TES or RPGs.
