The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a graphically stunning fantasy universe, full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. The world burns as the Empire of Nilfgaard pierces through the heart of the kingdoms in the north. Geralt of Rivia is pursued by an enemy devoid of mercy—the Wild Hunt, a mythical cavalcade of ghastly riders, harbingers of doom and destruction, capable of destroying entire settlements overnight. Driven by a deeply personal agenda, Geralt must navigate a maze of hostile forces to find and protect the one described in an ancient prophecy.

Started a new game. Turned off the mini map and a few other stuff on the HUD. Wow makes the game harder since you can't just use the mini map instead of the main game. I ended up turning them on since I got so use to them and got lost lol. I actually like the idea of seeing the red X on the screen to see what I have missed when I killed something and want to loot it. Well I did notice to make them smaller so that helps. It opened up the screen more and not so much a distraction now.

A lot of options in the game.

See Bethesda, you can make options, OPTIONS in the game. Don't want the HUD on, there is options to turn them off. It's not all on or all off. We can pick what we want on. Hell we can choose what we want on or off on the mini map as well. So yes it's possible Bethesda, give us options so we can choose what we want. We can play with as much or little hand holding you like.

Don't want bread crumbs in the mini map. Turn it off.

Don't want a quest indicator? Turn it off.

Don't want messages on the screen? Turn it off.

Don't want time indicator? Turn it off.

Don't want... you get the idea.

I recommend look at the options menu, Display then HUD options and choose what you don't want displayed. It may change the way you play the game and have of a more open feel to it like Skyrim.

I'm very happy that CD Projekt RED made you be able to turn on and off a lot of HUD elements in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

When I'm playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt I have the notice boards, exclamation points, question marks, and all of the locations of every thing else turned off on my map. The map is the only thing I have enabled. I just look hard for clues to find where I need to go, what items I need to find or use the Witcher sense if it requires me using the Witcher sense in a quest.
