Old World Blues (Spoilers)

Post » Mon Jun 01, 2015 6:49 am

After the soul-crushing darkness that was Dead Money I found Old World Blues to be the most fun I've had in a while.

I definitely get a Mystery Science Theater 3000 or Futurama feel from this one. Since I grew up watching reruns of cheesy 50's sci-fi movies (I'm old) this was right up my alley.

(Spoilers)

Between the Toaster and Dr. Dala I laughed most of the way through this one. Except when I was getting my ass handed to me by robotic scorpions and lobotomites.

Trying to convince my brain to come back was laugh-out-loud hilarious.

"I'm not the one who told you to attack a Nightkin with a penknife!"

I hate the Bullet Sponges, but I enjoy the exploration and rewards.

The best Vanilla Player Home in the Sink, finding the COS Sniper Rifle.

Facing a Legendary Bloatfly.

Implants and Perks, I do not mind Cazadores after Old World Blues.

The Legendary Bloatfly was both hilarious and exceedingly deadly. I've never laughed so hard while getting killed.

The stealth suit is pretty amusing too.

"Initiating Combat - just kidding".

My favorite part is pretty much the Think Tank and the cybernetic implants. I never get my organs back, just stay with the implants.

I never really got the humour from the Think Tank, but Dr Dala was mildly amusing. I enjoyed the twisted nature of the experiments like at Little Yangtze, and the Toaster was a highlight.
