It has always retained post count up until this point, so this isn't true, how do you think Freddo and Rohugh amassed tens of thousands of posts? They certainly didn't do it in the time frame between purges.
Edit: It took me like 7 years to break 5,000 posts, now it says I have a paltry 800, what is this, 2007?
I guess the forums just got a little younger.
I always liked the way it kept track of posts and ranks. It made it feel like I was working toward something, sort of like leveling up in a game. I hope it returns to normal, but in the end, it's just like karma on reddit, it's just Internet points.
Also, probably not related, but this site has been looking terrible for me and throwing up SSL certificate errors from gamesas.com which I've never really had too many problems before (I run HTTPS everywhere). Disabling HTTPS for this site fixes it.
I'm sure that in time, every bit of those stars will be gone, and my rank will be a mystery... even to me.
I don't even remember what my rank was.
PS. I can't reach "my content" for a while now. Getting 504.
This has not been my experience. I do not recall losing any of my posts during past purges. And, as far as I am able to tell, there has been no recent purge. Currently, the forums go back to 2009, just as they have for the past several years.
My hunch is that this may be a temporary side-effect of adding a Fallout 4 General Discussion forum. I think they will iron out the glitch soon and everything will be back to normal within a few days.
They must be doing some forum maintenance. My post count is down to about a third of what it was as well.
Interesting, wonder where I'm at now.....doubt I lost very many since this account isn't very old.
Edit: Yeah don't think I lost anything ^^
My count seems the same and even if it wasn't it doesn't really matter anyway as there's no special privileges for titles.
I don't see a Fallout 4 forum.
edit: never mind, I misread your meaning.
Probably only during new releases and a few weeks after.
