I'm a huge computer geek. Right now, I'm studying assembly and how low programming languages interact with the hardware, and I love it. It's so amazing how much computer technology has influenced our society and, learning about things how memory interacts with the CPU, logic gates, how low-level programming languages interact with the memory, it's incredible to me at least. I have huge interest in these things, and I'm wondering how many forum go-ers are fascinated by the same things, besides simply PC building, which I also love.

To me, it's more than a hobby, it's almost a life-style. Anyone else?

Oh I agree. I have a great respect for programmers. I just know my limits. Still I do basic PC maintinence stuff as well. Not really programming per say. Just google fu and the will to keep my PC working in prime condition.

well, my last job was repairing and refurbishing peoples PCs and Laptops all day (btw, is anyone else having a really hard time finding work these days?).. and I did go to college for an Information Systems course.. so yeah, i'd say i am certainly a PC enthusiast, even thought when it comes to gaming i have been playing more console games than PC games as of late

I game on both personally. PC/PS4 hybrid. I feel like I get the best of both worlds. The xbox one has too much in common with PC imo, but PS4 has some of the best game out there, and PC, well PC is just amazing lol, at least in my opinion, especially because I love playing old-classic RPGs, which I can't play on console. But more importantly, I can program on it and learn a lot from it, especially the hardware architecture and how languages interact with it a low-level.

I play a lot of N3DS because of Monster Hunter series and mario kart.

Although I've fallen behind a little with current PC technology, I'm fascinated by things like old operating systems, including how and why they were designed the way they were, a subject which seems to fascinate precisely nobody else. I also quite like programming when I'm in the mood, which seems to be an increasingly rare thing amongst those who end up doing a hobby professionally.
