Ok so I've recently reinstalled Skyrim and the Creation Kit on a new machine and noticed that the Creation Kit no longer loads. Steam hung installing the Microsoft Register Server so I restarted Steam and now nothing happens when I try and launch the Creation Kit. I've restarted multiple times, verified the integrity and reinstalled from scratch to no avail.Never had this problem before. Ran up a virtual machine (VMWare Workstation 11) running the same OS (Windows 8.1), installed Skyrim and the Creation Kit and sure enough the same thing happened to me again.At this stage I'm out of ideas.

Does the process ever appear in the task manager?

Could it be a permissions/UAC issue?
