Hard Trails and Dirty Business
Story
It's the spring of 2291, and in the Montana Wasteland, where the wildlife is just as likely to be the hunter of any man in the region, as man himself, a small up-and-coming caravan company work out of the old city of Helena, is itching to branch out from the usual trading circles, and become a new trading powerhouse. Their eyes point West, to the Pacific.
Run by Lenny Crane, an old time mercenary and caravaneer himself, he sees the chance for expansion westward as being better than it ever has been. And if it isn't his company that grabs at the chance, someone else in the region just might, and that could spell the end for Lenny and the Helena Trading Company.
But it isn't just other small Montana trading companies, Lenny Crane and his employees of caravaneers and caravan guards, have to look out for when looking west. The Crimson Caravan, a well known trading entity, but never having a strong foothold or presence in the Montana Wasteland, stands in the way of the Helena Trading Company. Luckily the war between the NCR and Caesars Legion has weakened the Crimson Caravan, and the old California trading powerhouse is looking to shore up it's territory, while still maintaining a viable threat to those looking to encroach on their trade routes and outposts. Whispers and rumors in the caravan circles say that word from the Crimson Caravan HQ, wants all their furthest outposts to make headway eastward, and show that the Crimson Caravan is still a threat, and can make headway into new lands, even if they are weaker than before.
Lenny Crane and the Helena Trading Company want to change that. They want to take what western trade routes and outposts there are, and sow chaos in the already chaotic and weak Crimson Caravan, while showing their Montana competitors that they're the new trade kings, and the best option for the others are to submit or be erased. And for Lenny Crane and the Helena Trade Company, if that means shedding blood and leaving a few bodies along the trail, then so be it.

Your Involvement
In this RP you are one of the many members, of the Helena Trading Company striking out westward. Starting in Helena itself, the HQ for the company, you and the others will be apart of a six brahmin caravan, fully packed with trade goods, looking to take from others what belongs to the company. The journey west will not be an easy one, with raiders, vicious wildlife, and competing caravaneers from other Montana based trading companies, all looking to ruin the caravan before it can succeed.
All players will be in the same caravan as one another, so I will have a limited number of players. There will be six (6), seven (7) including myself, in all, so a limit of who is a Caravaneer and who is a Caravan Guard will be in place the whole time, or until I say otherwise.
The descriptions for the two jobs are as follows
Caravan Guard: The job is simple enough, but tough, it's their job to keep an eye out and protect the caravan's cargo and Caravaneers, however and no matter what. Even if that means laying down their life doing so. Their main focus is combat, but they're not completely ignorant to the rest of the caravan/trading business.
Caravaneers: Although not as combat oriented as Caravan Guards, Caravaneers have to know how to protect not only themselves, but the caravan's cargo, as well. They're not sitting ducks, waiting to be plucked by an ambushing raider or wildlife. Equally tasked with the guards to protect the cargo, Caravaneers are also tasked with animal husbandry, tending to the needs and issues of the pack brahmin themselves, and keeping stock of the good being hauled. When at a trading post or town, it's the Caravaneers who are tasked with the actual trading, and getting the best out of a deal.
Both are tasked with doing what's right by the company, so jobs and activities may overlap between the two, as long as it benefits Helena Trading Company and the expanse westward. A cohesive and disciplined caravan crew is what the Helena Trading Company strives to produce, as the Montana Wasteland and the world further west are unforgiving, and any trouble in a crew can cause it to be wiped out, if worse comes to worse.
I myself will be the head of the trading crew, in charge of Caravaneer and Guard.
And seeing as the Helena Trading Company is a small organization, who until now operated in small Montana based trading circles, seriously take into consideration the type of armor and weapons your character has. Think low-mid tech ranges for both. Nothing plasma or power armor oriented.
