Fallout 3 is an interesting case, because it wasn't made for the newer computers. It seems as if a lot of the new PCs have trouble with it. My friend *just* bought a new laptop and couldn't launch Fallout 3. He re-installed it many times. I know other people who have this problem as well.

My point is, don't let that be telling for New Vegas. You should be okay, but I wouldn't download NMC's Texture Pack on the "FULL" setting. Even the better computers get whacked by an overabundance of performance-straining mods.

I think there's a performance-upgrading mod for New Vegas if you have NVSE installed.

Go to the Fallout New Vegas Nexus site and download Nexus Mod Manager. From there, it's fairly easy to download mods. You'll need a nexus account. From there, you simply hit "install with mod manager" and active them through the program.

Some people have issues with NMM, and if that's the case, get Fallout Mod Manager.

Load Order? There should be some guides online on how to have a good one... There's a program called BOSS which does it, but it fails to account for newer mods, so it's a little unreliable.

In some ways, you might have to fiddle with the mods yourself.

If you want the JE Sawyer mod you can't get that off of the Nexus, just google it. It was made by one of the game developers and sets things as he wanted to make them. Also fixes a lot of bugs and oversights.

I highly recommend the mod and play in hardcoe mode, it really makes the game experience better.

Also look at any mods made by Someguy2000 he made the new vegas bounties mod. He does excellent work.
