Ok, so I voted. I am assuming that the first question means that we want what we chose to be excluded. I think smithing and enchanting should be out. Alchemy too if I have to choose that to get both smithing and enchanting out.

Sorry for the confusion, I've edited the poll

The one that you selected wasn't taking the 3 skill threes out, it was to keep them. You might want to vote again ! Again, I'm sorry for the confusion :)

I voted "No" on roleplay, but I think there should be an "optional" vote as well.

I meant optional as in leave it up to the participants on if they wanted to roleplay or not. I was just thinking that maybe some people would opt out of the competition if they did not like roleplaying or were worried about their writing ability when it comes down to writing about it or some such

Personally I like roleplaying my characters, but I could see that maybe some players don't.

They will only roleplay if they really want to, I won't go to their houses with a stick and start poking then whispering in their ear "roleplay, come on..."

Hmm, I'm going to add that option to the poll, be sure to update your vote ;)

Voted!

Strangely I have voted to delete smithing so we can only use armours and weapons as they are found or purchased. It's odd because my char, Ulda relies heavily on upgrading her armour and weapons to be survivable. So I am deliberately choosing to make it tough on myself. That's how I like it.....hardcoe man! Some weekends I go skydiving without a chute......just for kicks.

I would like to see removal of ALL Fast Travel including carriages......horses are good enough!

I vote NO for Roleplay.....I'm not sure what I would have to do. I mean if I was a merchant for example I spend two weeks doing what exactly? Buying selling, brewing barter potions? How does that get me into killing Draugr, hunting dragons and bandit bashing........" Oh good afternoon Mr. Dragonpriest Sir". " may I interest you in in this fine set of matching encyclopaedias?" Oh, I see you want to burn them! How about this very practical powder based Fire Extinguisher with matching patented fire blanket......."Ah, I see, you want to test them for electrical safety". In that case Sir, may I just.....Ruuuuuuuun !!!

I agree with no enchanting and smithing. The only reason I said to tweak the scoring was because the MQ holds a lot of weight and I cannot bring myself to do that one again. I've done it twice now in a month.

I can cope with losing enchanting along with smithing....just. That does make it pretty tough, as long as we keep alchemy please... I can't survive without a little home brewed pick me up after work!

J/K......I can work with any combo.....ha! Make it tougher! I love it! I normally play on Legendary and get my wife to kick my shins during Dragon fights just to try and break my concentration. Just last week I mastered using both Xbox controller sticks with one hand....it can be done! So now I can play with one arm tied behind my back...just for kicks. Ha! I want us to ALL be on Legendary and wearing the sack cloth outfit from the prison cart.......that'll sort the snowberries from the Briarhearts.......bring it on!

Thank you for voting!

Well Rick, maybe in the fourth round where I'LL MAKE EVERYONE BE A MAGE! Including you Rick...

Well, you could try and sell the arrows to that draugr over there but first you need to show to him how arrows are deadly ;)

Hmm... I can always put the competition in day 13 of August if you want... Maybe the next one? I mean, we aren't forcing you to play and you aren't playing for the reward (I make your character into a follower) I hope...

Plz Rick, Rick plz stahp it m8

Wots that BA? Oh I see, it must be Porchyougeezer for "more please".
Ok then, just for you !

Well, how about setting some tough tasks for the contestants. Here's a few to give you the taste.....
Climb down from the Greybeards to Riverwood in a straight line ( no paths) at night with no torches or magelight !
Do Hilgrunds Tomb with fists only.
Kill at least three Dragons with the Wooden Sword.
Purist Robe Wearers might object to a sword, even if wood....so they do "Hopscotch" with Shock Runes.

Those are just warm ups for the fopish hanky wavers. Then you can make it really challenging for the serious players like me. Why, just last week I set myself the task of naked Frost troll hearding. I got seven of them into the little courtyard by the Sarthaal entrance in just one hour.

I hope that helps..........Rick

Why? Well cos it's tough of course. We need little challenges to spice up the easy peazy dullness of regular play even on Legendary.

How? Well, now that would be telling. Must preserve some professional secrets mustn't we?

By roleplay, I am assuming you mean requiring a specific class or skill set. I think for this round we should consider this, rather than just another open competition. Maybe put a poll question and see if we should use a build restriction. If there is interest, then we can discuss what type of restrictions. We voted yes to roleplay last time, but nobody knew how to do that so it was ignored.

I just voted and selected yes to roleplay. Once again I am advocating that we roleplay as hold guards. We would use only the Hold Guard skills and use only their equipment. Steel weapons, hold guard armor (or Stormcloak armor until you can find a set. Hint: check Mirulmirs belly). The goal would be to become thane of every hold and we could score the event based on this.

Here is the inspiration for this character:
http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/character-building/forum/topics/character-build-the-hold-guardhouse
There are a lot of great build ideas on that site, by the way.

Grits also did a great DiD roleplay using this concept that I recommend anyone interested read.

However, even if there is no interest in playing as a humble hold guard, I think it would be fun for us all to play similar builds for one competition. I'd even be up for any other build ideas (pure Mage, thief, whatever).
