Changing the language of the game

Post » Thu Jun 11, 2015 4:56 am

Hey, is it possible to change just the subtitles/menu of the game? I wanted to switch the subtitles to french while retaining the english voice acting. I am learning french this some and I thought replaying through a big rpg with lots and lots of dialogue would help me. I know the answer is not to change the language properties on steam, that simply changes everything

What about simply changing the language to French so that you have both the spoken and written dialogues in French? Given the fact that you know the game already, it shouldn't be too much of a problem and it would be a good training. ;)

Nobody has made a mod for this.

Use Rosetta Stone instead.

Hearing French is a better way of learning it than reading it, well. In my experience anyway.

But think what a learning experience on many levels it would be to attempt making that mod. I would imagine they would have a pretty good command of the french language by the time they got done converting all that english text to french.

or considering what TheEqsuire said ... take the french version of the game and convert it to english text.

This is the exact program I am using to study

but yeah I guess I'll just play in french. I'll have to go without John Doman's sensuous tones assaulting my eardrums
