Maybe this has appeared somewhere else, but I couldn't find it in the forums here. Apparently, there used to be several Food Sanitizer units in New Vegas before an early patch. The Wikia even mentions one (occasionally) received for rescuing the survivors in Vault 34. Now, as I recall, the Food Sanitizer in Fallout 3 was a handy little devise that helped make food better by "cleaning" food to make it heal you more (and maybe reduce RADS, I don't remember). I think it was a great thing to have in order to survive the wastes (not mandatory, but still helped). Why is it not found in New Vegas, or more importantly, why was it found but then taken away? Is there somewhere one can still be acquired, or a way these Vault 34 guys cough it up? Any info to clarify this little mystery would be greatly appreciated, no wasteland home should be without one of these little babies. One last thing, I play on 360. I know mods can get you anything, but I'm asking for info through vanilla means; whether about locating one or figuring out why they're absent. Any personal opinions on the matter are welcomed too (this is a forum, after all).

I think they were removed in a patch. Reason might be that there is an abundance of non-radiated food and water available in the Mojave. I mean, there are plenty of wells, lakes, water fountains with 0 rad, and for food you can go hunting or plucking, also with 0 rads. It's not really needed.
