I was just going around at the beginning of the game. I saw Fawkes running around fighting enemies so I joined in and helped. Long story short, he died as I was killing. Do I need him to beat the game? If yes, then how do I bring him back? (commands or mods I mean). I should also mention that his body has de-spawned if that makes a difference.

Please help me!

Side note: This happened way back so I really don't want to revert back to that specific save.

That's something I've never seen before, fawkes has only ever lost 4 bars of health at most for me.

Not that I've seen, I never noticed him, and if he's dead then I've just been going about on my merry way like a gypsy ever since. Maybe I looted him? I don't know...

How can you have met Fawkes at the beginning of the game? He's locked away until you free him, but that's quite far into the Main Quest.

Maybe it was Uncle Leo, the other friendly super mutant? Sounds more like him...

I think so too. Besides, Fawkes never died when I had him as a companion. He's just insanely strong.
