Never completed this quest before. Am I supposed to wear or have an Amulet of Mara to progress this quest line? I'm not getting the dialogue options from Faleen when attempting to deliver the poem from Calcelmo.

No amulet of mara required. The quest is great btw, because of the magic resist passive.

Have you already asked the buff silver-blood mercenary? He apparently is a good poet.

In the "bug's" section of the wiki on the quest it says "picking up an extra Amulet of Mara may cause you to be unable to equip the one that was given to you, which is required to progress the quest(?)" http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Book_of_Love link so you can read it if you want.

So perhap's at the very least need to have it, but are actually supposed to be wearing it. I only did the quest once and the character was wearing the Amulet of Mara the whole time.

it's not needed for the Calcemo portion or for Iverstead. You have run into a bug. The last endevour requires the amulet be equipped, which is given to you at the start of the final endevour.

Did you get the poem from Faleen's friend? Just asking because you said Calcemo's poem. Calcemo don't write no poem.

If this is the case, I have messed it up.

Ullothwen, yes, you are correct. I got it from Faleen's friend. The one that always hangs out near the abandon house.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I can see if another amulet will work, but I'm too far down the road to re-load on this character.
