Hey guys, for all the time since I first became a stage 4 vampire back when the game was first released...I had been careful to not get to that stage.
Until last just now, accidentally...
Is this a bug? Or has this been changed by a DLC or an Unofficial Skyrim Patch? I have all the DLCs but Hearthfire and all the Unofficial Patches installed.

I thinks it's changed by Dawnguard. I use the mod Better Vampires tho, and it's great. Plus Royal Bloodline, so that vampire lord can remain powerful at higher levels.

If I remember well, it's due to Dawnguard. Probably to avoid making the game unplayable to a vampire player.

Well you just need to drink once....hardly unplayable.But maybe Bethesda thought the players are retards.

Anyway, what would the game look like for a player who deliberately chooses to play as a stage 4 vampire? Would he be able to play the Dawnguard quests?
