Hey guys, this my first writing a straight up forum, so don't be surprised if it completely svcks.
Anyways, I had this idea that what if Corvo's father wasn't actually his father? That, maybe his real father sent Corvo's mother and Corvo to the island of Serkonos from the Isle of Morley to protect them from some evil political dictator? This would make a great storyline ( In my opinion), and could start off like this:
Samuel Beechworth was lying on his deathbed, as Corvo Attano watched his weak, vunerable body take its last breaths. Samuel say he must tell Corvo something, and ocntinues about his actual father. He states that his father used to be a priest of another religion not worshipping the Outsider (this could create a whole new amount of lore and stuff). This was until the outsider tempted him to bare his mark, to which Covo's father, (who i'm gonna call Rovan) started to question himself and his religious beliefs, which could make for some awesome storytelling. Now I thought that an awesome outsider ability would be to climb walls and ceiling and sort of defy gravity. Continuing on the story, he supports the Insurrection, leading him to meet Samuel Beechworth. The story will continue where the could kill certain targets and make certain choices, determining the oucome of the game, so freedom of choice would be pretty sweet. For example, you can kill one of your allies at any point in the game, and that can change the style of gameplay, or cetain elements in the story. Also, customizable outfits could be a great adition to the game.
Rovan's attire could be a tricorne hat, and a mask covering just the mouth. The mask could be the shape of a falcon's beak; his 'suit' could be like a classic late 18th century suit, except add shoulder plates and give him fingerless gauntlets or something like that.
It would be awesome if there was like a stealth mission in which you assassinate a bunch of sailors on a ship or something. Speaking of which, i think it would be cool if sailing and the sea played a big part in the game.
Now this may seem a bit far-fetched, seeming as Dishonored 2 was recently announced, but introducing this story in a DLC would be sick. Comment on what you think. Hopefully, Arkane Studios will see this!
